This video, and info was very helpful, as I just drained my factory fill at 581 miles, so thank you!

Two items to note, the Torx Screws for the rear diffuser are a T30. (I had saw another place mention T27, but a T30 works perfectly)

Also, some had asked if you needed to remove all 3 drain plugs, I removed the 'front 2' first, and let them drain for 30 minutes, I then removed the 'rear most one' and still got another 'cup or more' of oil pour out. So I would recommend removing all 3 when draining the oil. (My car was on a 4 post lift, completely level.

I drained oil for 30 min.... n filter new... put in 6 1/2 qt.... it said 1 bar.... so I put other half... i.e. 7 qt...
it's barely full on bar reading.... i thought manual said 6.5 at full...

btw... when car new... after 400 miles...my car said "oil level high" ... even though I did not put any more oil into the car... the warning light went away after a few drives......

can my sensor be off ??? That its reading wrong?? I got 7 Qts of oil in it now.. . Is that ok???

It is a dry sump system. The sensor is wacky. With the engine off, open and close the oil fill, then remeasure. The sensor is more "delicate" than it is accurate. I think we all wish it had a dipstick.

Where in the manual do you see a capacity for oil? I've been looking and looking and for the life of me I can't find that. Expected consumption during operation, oil viscosity, etc. But nothing about capacity.

I checked on the few updated 991.2 GT3 DIY posts but can someone confirm the following oil measurements and specifications? The 991.1 version that Rob put out a few years back was the prime go-to for the DIY oil change but a few of the other ones had videos which are no longer accessible and don't have raw data really associated with them the way the earlier model's DIY thread had. I wanted to make sure it was singularly listed so there is no doubt for us. I'm about to change it on the car and just want to be sure. The .1 version was super easy but as usual given engine modifications the volumes seem to be different. Can some of you confirm these figures? I'd appreciate if others could validate this so we have a centralized listing at least in one place for reference. Thanks in advance.

Oil capacity total: 6.4 liters or 6.76 quarts

Advised oil amount to first pour in after the change: 5.9 L or 6.2 quarts (I see another did 6.5 quarts above)

Oil tank drain plug torque: 22 ftlb or 30 Nm (copper washer)

Oil pan drain plug torque: 23 ftlb or 31 Nm (aluminum washer)

Oil filter torque: 15 ftlb or 20 Nm

I recently did this on my 991.2 GT3. I can confirm for capacity, I started with 6.2 qt (read 1 bar) and added another 1/2 qt to bring it to 3 bars.

Also, in case it's helpful to others, I can confirm the iCarsoft POR-II with the latest software update was able to reset the oil service interval on the 991.2 GT3. This is the exact model I used on Amazon:

As a humorous and potentially problematic aside, I figured I would share a unique encounter from yesterday. To attempt to get shop data, I called Suncoast Parts where I buy most of the parts for such projects and DIY work to get the data on the proper sump capacity or fill capacity. I was encouraged to speak to their service area for that help. I was transferred to a (less than helpful and perhaps highly concerning) service adviser, who told me the following without any research or data as a suggestion of how to change the oil on my car:

"You have to heat up the oil well and then after you drain it, you have to add at least 9 quarts and then a bit more until it's at the right amount." I told him that is nowhere near the fill capacity of the prior .1 model nor is it close to the smaller sump on the .2 model, to which he told me, "There is no Porsche that doesn't have at least 9 quarts of oil to be added with oil changes." I told him this is absolutely incorrect and frankly was bad information to be randomly spewing off without looking into it and the complications on any car, not the least of which on such an engine, would be very risky.

Surprisingly not what I was expecting after lots of great experiences with the Parts area there for many many years. Unbelievable.

Anyone know the washer part # and torque setting for this drain plug? Apparently you get another 1/4 quart out by pulling it.

Should be the same spec as the drain plug on the oil pan, since it is on the same unit. Based on the above table, would be 23 ft lb or 31 Nm. And those drain plugs on the oil pan are the same I believe, aluminum washer as well. But different ones from the vertical oil tank unit with the single drain plug.
