I’m just using M1 0w40. My torque wrench is a digital $90 job from Home Depot so I need the adapter for the T50.

The bottle of oil you see in the pic is for my sons 4 runner. I am knocking them all out at once. Hate doing it but its easy and I feeling like Bob the Builder when I do something using my humble tool set.

are you guys sure 7quarts is the recommended amount to put in after all 3 drain bolts removed?

I put in 7qts and it's still on 1 bar. might be closer to 8quarts

I use 7 Liters (Motul X-Cess 5W40) which is 7.4 Quarts

You can buy these things from McMaster Carr. Less than a buck each in bulk.

Good to know! Did you happen to find the parts for the oil tank and smaller crankcase washers too?

Not sure what size those are, but they do these in most common metric thread sizes and in either aluminum or copper. Can't link to a specific page so follow this selection path:

https://www.mcmaster.com/standard-washers -> Sealing Washers -> (Aluminum or Copper) -> Metric

All sizes from M6 to M26. Much cheaper than buying from OEM.

Thought I'd share my experience based on changing the oil for the first time yesterday - I had the car up on race ramps, so just the back was elevated. Given the car was tilted forward, I didn't get any extra (literally not a drop) from removing the plug on the rear of the oil pan. I bought an 8mm torque adapter specifically for this purpose, so maybe it saves someone the time / hassle of removing and properly re-torquing that plug. Everything else was very straightforward - used the 991.2 GT3 oil filter wrench that Suncoast sells, and was able to use a split beam Precision Instruments torque wrench and a small 3/8 extension to properly torque the filter (others can likely do this based on feel, but I like making sure). For what it's worth, the dealer who did the last oil change really cranked the oil filter onto the housing - took a bit of muscle to get it off. Very straightforward and it was nice to take my time and make sure everything was done properly.

Did oil change today. Only about 1oz came out of the rear drain plug, car was sitting on my lift which is level. 7qt put the level in the middle of the oil gauge. Filter was a bear to break loose. For the rear diffuser I torqued the bolts to 7.5 ftlbs (which was from the 991.1 oil change procedure). Is that the correct torque for the 991.2 diffuser?

Dumb question, but does Porsche include for the 1st oil change on the 991.2 GT3/RS cars for free like other cars?

I’ve always just snugged those tray fasteners by hand, but I assume the spec is same as .1

Make sure to put some oil on the filter rubber gasket to allow easy removal...

Surprised you didn’t get more oil from rear drain- mine continues to drip for over an hour (or whenever I get tired of waiting) if oil hot when draining.
