Default Wind buffeting in 991.2?

Have any of you new 991.2 owners already taken the car on a high speed run with the windows open? Would like to know whether the .2 has the same wind buffeting issues that have been reported on previous generations.

Prepping for a spring delivery and plan to take it to the track so need to know whether I need to go with Mech33's nifty wiper blade solution or buy some deflectors from AWE (another item for a very long Porsche specific Christmas wishlist )

Yes. Still wind buffeting issue. If you search YouTube for 991.2 GT3 at Track, there was a video out there where you could hear the buffering. I pinged the person who posted and he confirmed still there. I went and purchased and installed a set of the AWE wind buffeting winglets to install. I put them on but won't be getting the car up to problematic speeds (>90 mph) until the Spring.

Had a set of the Blackmill winglets on .1 and decided to go a bit more subtle this time around. I know the Blackmill worked perfectly and hope for the same with AWE.

AWE foilers work well, based on my GT4 experience. Very quick install. Maybe 5 minutes. Matte plastic retains OEM look and they're very subtle.

To be fair, they take it all back on shipping charges.

Do you have to take the door apart to install the AWE on the GT3?

Unlike the AWE option, we opted to use the factory hardware. The special plastic clip that can only be had through AWE and if it breaks then you are out of luck!
