Default Can you share what you did to prep your paint after getting your GT3?

Hey guys can you give me some ideas on what you did to your GT3 when you got it in regards to the paint? Clay wash wax?
Wash Clay wash polish wax? It snowed the day after mine got here so I have lots of time to do this. If the water hose
isnt frozen.
I was actually surprised at the good condition of the paint.
Thanks in advance

I had mine washed, clayed and decontaminated, washed, buffed lightly, washed, buffed some more, washed, xpel ultimate applied on entire car, then finally ceramic pro 9h on top. should be good just washing it for 10+ years now

I think if you have a trusted Detailer bring it to him to have a look. I would now wait until the Spring to do any PPF if it would be locked-up for the Winter but any paint correction ect I would do before storing so you do not stare at it at night and get pissed on anything you may find under certain lighting.

Took mine straight to Jean Claude at Detailed Designs AutoSpa. He is a member on here and does a lot of Porsches. http://detaileddesignsautospa.com/

I did nothing - dealer took it to PPF guy and he wrapped it and then took delivery. If you have the money any detailer will "correct" whatever needs correcting.

I had the car transported with all the wraps still on it. Peeled those off my self. Did a two bucket hand wash followed by a an ultra light Sonus SFX clay bar decontamination. That way I knew the paint well before I sent it for a PPF with XPEL ultimate. I did find two flaws in the paint that were of course under the wraps-wish I did not know about them as I never would have found them after PPF. Anyway full PPF-hood/doors/fenders/bumper/roof/quarters/wing. PPF is a no brainer-next step is full Gtechnique CSL and EXO done by me this weekend. Oh, I daily drive this car.

You mentioned something about snow!! Even though it's Idaho and probably not sustained cold does anyone know what the tire specs are for temperature?

Sent to my PPF guy. Told him to do whatever to make it look nice then install some PPF wherever he thought made sense. Collect a week later.

Dannie - it's not a good idea to drive DOT track tires in freezing weather (and be cautious driving under 55F - grip will not be good). And don't store the tires anywhere (on the car or otherwise) where they'll be exposed to 14F or lower (can cause permanent damage).
