new center console.
I had the center console replaced. It was all beat up by the previous owners kid. Before and after photos...

I believe it made a huge difference. The rest of the interior was nice except the center console. I thought it was from a dog but the previous chastised me when I was purchasing the vehicle for my remark she said "I never had a dog in this car". My wife told me she had a baby and so I'm guess as it became a toddler it probably kicking the center console with it's feet in the child seat located in the front seat. I also had to replace the rear-view mirror as it was clouding up.
The previous owner was asked why she didn't fix the mirror and she said it wasn't a safety issue to her. It sure was a safety item to me. I can't see what's going on!
