It made me feel much more comfortable at Dayton, especially going into the bus stop. You don't want to have any issues there!!!

Have it on my GT4, but more often I find myself not using it. Nice to know that feature is there, especially when you want to be 'lazier'

I think its a nice backup feature when your in max attack mode; if you miss a good blip on the downshift, its saving the gearbox and clutch.
I think the car sitting at redline? it can even warn you of a possible money shift.

Plus when you're in lazy traffic its still fun to make blippy noises with winter boots on, or high heels for the girls

It will be nice to have the option.
There's also the option to stick with PDK if you feel otherwise.

Auto blooper brings the option of shifting with Pdk-like ease, to your manual car. It also makes for really smooth upshifts with the throttle hang feature (which for some reason seems much more pronounced in the 991 chassis than in the 981). The ability to turn it on and off is fantastic, I especially enjoy braking hard and auto blipping from say 6-2nd hitting each gear.. you get riflebolt rev sounds I'm superquick succession, you can't do that with heel-toe. Then when you feel like practicing your technique you turn it off.

Really genius.

You can also use it to flat-foot upshift I believe although I haven't personally tried.

Sharkwerks bypass sounds amazing ... as for the 'off' button, is this simply *not* running in sport+ or is there a separate button to disable auto-blip?

i vaguely remember this from the very first press release but haven't heard it mentioned since. Neat-O. This would make the 0-60 delta from the PDK slightly less significant.

What is involved in wiring an AutoBlip system into a .1 GT3RS? Where is the control unit usually located (as I certainly don't want to look at it in the cabin)?

"autoblip" is a function of the ECU and the TCU (if there is one - which there isn't on a manual car - replaced I expect by a sensor determining if its an up or downshift)

SInce the RS is a PDK car, it *already* rev matches the engine rpm when (PDK) shifts occur ....

Larry, to clarify, my RS is an older .1 (2007), and therefore does not have PDK or an auto blipper. I was wondering if I needed to cut into my wiring harness (multiple?), or had to run wiring to hell and back to make it work.
