Front axle lift: Leave up or down in garage?
 

Enjoying my 2018 GT3 as I near 1,000 miles. I have to use the front axle lift every time I come up to the curb in front of my driveway as I head into the garage. For sake of longevity, is it better to leave the lift up or down while it sits in the garage? I noticed it doesn't automatically go back down unless I push the button or exceed a certain speed limit. As I don't have a 1/4 mile long driveway like some of y'all, I never get above the speed, so I need to either push the button or not. So, it's another cycle to push the button to lower it in the garage and then another pressure and pressurization to raise it again when I back out of my garage. So, trying to figure out whether it's better to just leave it pressurized while it sits in the garage or do another cycle?

No idea but I always leave it up.....that way don't have to remember to do it when pulling out.....

The owners manual indicates that it should not be left in the up position,

Do not leave it in up position, not good for the system.

I wouldn't do that. Here is what your manual says:

"Because of the system design, the raised position cannot be reliably maintained for an extended period.
The vehicle must always be lowered before it is switched off."

I'm not sure if this is in the manual because it will "drift down" over time or if you can damage the system. The wording is not real clear on this point. But what is clear is that Porsche says don't do it.

Now I know what that hissing sound is after I get out of my car in the garage. Thought it was the front end lift, but didnt read the whole manual.......

Does the car automatically lower at a certain speed if button is not activated like in the .1??
