Default Low oil pressure at hot idle

2015 gt3 F-motor 37k miles running 300v 0w-40. 1300 miles on the oil

Anyone had this issue? Oil pressure seems ok until the car hits 190f on oil temp. When driving all is good. At a stop pressure drops as low as 2-6 psi.

I had the red flashing CEL. to pull over safely but as soon as I put into throttle things get back to normal. Could it just be a sensor or am I looking at worn bearings and major issues?

should I change oil and see if it replicates or just take straight to dealer? I’m out of warranty for this motor. Car has a rebuilt title. I ordered 8100 excess gen 2 5w40 to replace the 300v.

2-6psi is very low. What are your readings at higher revs (at operating temp)? Take a notice at like 3k rpm and 6k rpm.

I would think you'd want around 15psi at idle warm. Hard to say whether you have just a bad pressure sender or something more serious.

That is very low. I don't think I've seen less than 20 psi on on hot oil with 5w50.

It's either a bad sensor, sheared oil, or mechanical problems. 300V is prettty shear stable, but even their 0w40 is pretty thin.

I would start with swaping the oil pressure sensor.

Should be still under the 10 year warranty so don’t fuss with. It. Take it to the dealer. That’s really low.

Car has a rebuilt title. Porsche will likely not warranty the engine on a rebuilt title.
