Wheel Rub - Wobble 991.2
Moving out of dealership / Service Dept / Parking lots / Tight driveways, I'm getting a fair amount of wheel rub and sometimes the front wheels wobble significantly. The last wobble was really nerve wracking and prompted me to write this post.
For the most part this only happens when the LIFT is activated. But the lift needs to be active in many situations, at least where I have had the car recently.
What are others experiencing? Is some wheel rub and the strange wobble normal?

Taken on my recent trip to Lake Garda (Italy), this view of the rear 3/4 is one of my favs. Shows off the timeless 911 profile. The black third light surround, black mesh and black PORSCHE work so well together.
But you know what, once you drive these cars it wouldn't matter what it looked like! Such a special driving experience. And to do ED in the car thru Austria and into Italy - what an experience!

Yes, I noticed some unusual sounds and vibrations only when lifted on mine too - could have been wheel rub. I can't say it's normal - just that mine also did it and it seemed like something might have been wrong with it. Let me know what you discover, and I'll do the same. Would be good to see if others are hearing rubbing noises and feeling vibrations when raised.

+1, normal. Was really bad on my GT4 in low temps (below 7C) and in fact now that the (summer) tires are getting worn on my Macan Turbo (265s/21s up front), I get that a lot as well. Even freaked one of my passengers when I pulled out of the driveway with a sharp right on reverse. Feels something is about to snap or break, but no ill effects.

I hope I am explaining this correctly. What is happening is whichever direction you are turning the wheel, one wheel is turning at a more pronounced angle. If you turn the wheel RIGHT the front left and front right wheels are going to have different angle though they are both pointed the same direction, that is your Ackerman. Ackerman differs car to car too, making setup for every car different.

Its been a while between posts. Too long dealing with life, but thought to share a throw back pic from a recent Targa over here. Great times. Partner ended up with bruise on out thigh after day two bracing her legs on the buckets in the corners..
