Very nice cars, and pictures.
Thank you for sharing.

Chris..I couldn't help noticing you have Dunlops on your Touring and IIRC Michelins on your white GT3...I also have Dunlops on mine and find them satisfactory although my car is still running in..I would very much appreciate your totally unbiased opinion of the two tyres..

Well spotted. I understand that all the recent Tourings in Europe have been showing up with Dunlops. Will let you know my thoughts in a couple weeks.

I based my spec on the pictures I posted above.

You can see my car here:

Mine doesn’t have the privacy glass. Nor does the one from the one from the Monaco press event in the pics above.

Thanks a lot for your reply. Visited the dealer today to see the privacy glass. I think it looks good, for now...

Did you sell your .1 GT3?

Which do you prefer in the flesh GT3.2 or GT3T?

Very nice review of the GT3 Touring by the Topgear team: https://www.topgear.com/car-news/sup...vs-gt3-touring

yes, sold the .1. Visually, I prefer my white one with the wing.

Wow, after looking at these pics, I may go with standard touring for my GT silver build. I thought the chrome would lack contrast but now I'm second guessing.

What color do people think will age the best with the GT3T? Time for me to lock is coming up soon, and with the PTS stop order, I'm having a tough time deciding on color. If rumors are true that this will be the last N/A manual, I may keep this car forever so I want something that will age well.

I've pretty evenly split between GT Silver, Black, GR, Chalk and GBM so need something to push in one direction. Also undecided on wheel color. The only thing I've decided on is black trim lol...chrome seems more popular in this thread, but I haven't liked chrome since the 90s.

As a general statement, classic colours will age better than new fashion colours. To me that means Chalk and GBM are out.

Yea I'm torn between silver trim or black trim for gt silver touring. With silver wheels and silver headlights. Any suggestions?

The new fashionable or en vogue color to me is the Miami Blue, specifically....

I think Chalk was to satisfy the Fashion Grey enthusiasts (like me, Chalk was my initial choice) while GBM is quite understated (grey tones mostly yet w/ slight hints of blue) and thus more conservative. So IMO both of these are not overly flashy yet still eye catching.... and classy. Plus I think they'll age just fine especially on a GT3. And I also think these two colors hit the spot for folks who like grey'ish pastel-like tones, like moi. YMMV but that's why everyone has choices... the GT3.2 can look good in literally any color. :)

My GBM the day it arrived and that night I took her home.... after Alex's quick cover. :D

Picked up my SBM Touring on Friday. Unfortunately, the weather was not great, so not much driving possible. First driving impressions: Very dynamic, direct, "alert", almost nervous car. Quite loud, even at lower revs - I only took it to 3500-4000 RPM and it's definitely louder than my E92 M3 (with M-Performance sports exhaust). Not sure whether the BOSE can really compete with the level of engine and roll noise, but have not turned it up. For those of you who have not ticked that box: Not a big loss, I guess. Shift quality: Good, but I need to learn the car better that the throws flow more natural. What I a really like: The extended leather interior with the contrasting stitching - looks very nice. Seats: I have the full bucket seats - very comfortable and well looking. Disadvantage: Cannot be folded; given the relatively small luggage compartment in the front (I was amazed how much smaller that is compared to the ones in my 996.1 GT3 or my Spyder), the foldable bucket seats have the clear advantage of allowing a much better access to the space behind the seats. Here some more interior pics.

Beautiful car and loving the contrast stitching in red. It really lifts the interior and highlights all of the detailing you get with the extended leather. Love the central arm rest too with the crest. I agree with you that BOSE will not be fully appreciated with the amount of engine noise inside. But I had to tick that option having not ticked it in the past and really regretting not making the upgrade. In the past I’ve been really surprised by how bad the standard stereo options are.

Great pics Chris3963! Thanks for sharing. I was 100% set on black trim, but now you have me second guessing myself :banghead:

Maybe I should just chrome trim and wrap it in black if I don't like it person. Hmm...
