Great pictures! I have the same spec on order, April delivery. I'm still on the fence about privacy glass y/n. Does the car in the picture have the privacy glass option?

I based my spec on the pictures I posted above.

You can see my car here:

Mine doesn’t have the privacy glass. Nor does the one from the one from the Monaco press event in the pics above.

Just discovered that my drive through the city on Saturday to meet a friend for a coffee has been well documented! I’ve used autogespot a lot to check out the touring pics as they come through. Really useful resource and great photos taken by enthusiasts. Didn’t expect to be a subject so soon on there. :roflmao:

Love all the pics. I think my black trim is going to be a unicorn lol. I recall a poll about touring black vs sliver/chrome trim and black was voted for by 2 to 1 or something like that, but most of the pics here are chrome trim. More pic of black trim please! :)

Thanks for the reminder - had forgotten about autogespot.

One of these is a non metallic grey - is this a test car? I didnt think any PTS Touring cars were on the road yet? (BB number plate is Böblingen where they register test cars, no?)

^^Thanks for the autogespot link!

I think the car above might be gbm. The other pics are much more blue.

GT3 KSA 02-12-2018 04:26 AM

Yes that is GBM

Picked up my SBM Touring on Friday. Unfortunately, the weather was not great, so not much driving possible. First driving impressions: Very dynamic, direct, "alert", almost nervous car. Quite loud, even at lower revs - I only took it to 3500-4000 RPM and it's definitely louder than my E92 M3 (with M-Performance sports exhaust). Not sure whether the BOSE can really compete with the level of engine and roll noise, but have not turned it up. For those of you who have not ticked that box: Not a big loss, I guess. Shift quality: Good, but I need to learn the car better that the throws flow more natural. What I a really like: The extended leather interior with the contrasting stitching - looks very nice. Seats: I have the full bucket seats - very comfortable and well looking. Disadvantage: Cannot be folded; given the relatively small luggage compartment in the front (I was amazed how much smaller that is compared to the ones in my 996.1 GT3 or my Spyder), the foldable bucket seats have the clear advantage of allowing a much better access to the space behind the seats. Here some more interior pics.

You are absolutely right - it is there, code XVA. Quick text to my SA to get that in...

Question in connection to this: Does the gear lever "bag" get deviated stiching as part of the package? Is that maybe the "Schalttafel" ?

Oldmxnut 02-12-2018 07:16 AM

Has anyone with a delivery ticked the painted slats exclusive option? Accordingly it creates a leather surround on the vent with stitching. Interested to see a picture of the air vent, and steering column (similar to Spydersmileys one above) and how it comes together with this option.

Oldmxnut 02-12-2018 07:42 AM

^ Actually apologies, don't worry about it. Google assisted me. Although didnt find any with the black touring stitch..

A downside to owning a cool car in the modern age: You can’t go anywhere without it being recorded on the internet.

As previously mentioned, a pro photographer took a bunch of shots of the weekend of my Touring and my RS. My GT3 PDK also joined the party for a short while.https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...c5fb16e45.jpeghttps://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...e47a23c5a.jpeg

Thanks for the pics! I feel so sorry for you having to pick one of those to drive everyday.

Did you end up measuring the ride height?

erik_plus8 02-12-2018 12:37 PM

Very nice cars, all three of them!
