My 2015 GT3 had silver wheels and I can’t tell you how many raved about them. While most were opting for the standard color (anthracite?), the silver wheels popped and look great with all exterior colors IMO.

I had a guards red turbo s and I ended up not loving it, it was bright with a slight orange tinge/hue. I’ve seen a lava orange RS several times now at the track. I can see the salmon hue if you think about it and try and see it otherwise I see orange. It’s darker and not as pretty as gulf orange but it works.

Do do you guys think the headlights on this orange R are black or standard leds?

what also different on the gt3t from the r are the additional black scoops on the front nose that the 991.1 didn’t have. I wonder how those will change the look of this car.

These are definitely LEDs in Black.

And do you think the wheels are closer to satin aluminum or standard ? On the 991.2 the standards seem pretty bright. But on this R I suspect they are satin aluminum to go with the white stripes.

Definitely not Platinum Satin.

Those look like the standard 911R Satin Aluminum wheels (optional on the GT3).

The darker orange would work/contrast especially good against the bright silver wheels, trim and headlights.

I'd go with the standard silver headlights. The standard silver wheels on the .2 gt3 are shining brighter than the satin alu wheels (on many pics and as reported by owners) which makes them a better fit for the shiny/silver theme against the orange.

A little black trim here and there will be helpful. Even the rs/rsr had some black trim (and black center Fuchs) to break up the chrome/silver theme a bit.

And pepita seat inserts to bring the silver/black theme inside, either CXX or after-market, would close the deal.

I was under the impression that the 911R's silver wheels were the 991.2 GT3 standard wheels in glossy silver finish (which was an option on the 991.1 GT3), not the matte aluminum finish (don't even think that was an option, but I never had the chance to spec an R :) )

A lot of the R's online I've seen had the standard silver wheels with black LEDs, I don't think I saw a single R with the silver (standard) LEDs and silver wheels, maybe it wasn't a configurable option

I personally think a Lava Orange Touring Pack will look awesome, and be very unique. I would go with Black touring pack to match the black accents of the .2 car, standard silver wheels, and it's a toss up for me on black or standard silver LEDs, but I'll lean towards the silver LEDs to match the silver wheels (what I ended up with on my GT3 build). I have the black LEDs on my C4 right now and after Archimedes told me that he thinks it looks like eye liner on the car's headlights I can't stop thinking that when I see my car lol.

Yeah they look satin aluminum to me. I can't get behind silver trim on non dark color cars. I think the sapphire blue show model is too light so I figured it would be too light on lava as well. I went lava with black touring black leds and satin aluminum wheels.

Let's see how it turns out!

Here's my touring before the PDI. First of all, I absolutely love it. I had my doubts about White, after seeing how great the touring looks in dark colors with the Silver trim. It amazes me how much better it looks in person. One very interesting note: the "Porsche" on the rear bumper should be in Silver letters. As you can see, the letters are Black. Everything else is Silver (window trim, exhaust tips, and headlight washer nipples). Not sure what I'm going to do at this point. The dealer cannot do clear bra for over a week, so I'm picking it up tomorrow afternoon and will have it done at an independent shop. More photos after pickup.

Congrats that looks great! Yeah PORSCHE in black that's a mistake on Porsche's part. (queue joke about there being no mistakes in Germany)

Chris sure is a beauty congrats ,
to me the black P lettering doesn't miss as blends nicely with black motor grill , another option would be remove it altogether
