I have an October build that locks in a few weeks, and have read every post in this thread (some multiple times!), but still can't make up my mind on a few things...

1. Extended Dashboard Leather: How do people feel about the soft touch(?) dashboard that comes by default with the leather package? Debating whether or not to go all out with the added leather packages (will do Steering Column no matter what).

2. Wheels: For those with the Satin Aluminum wheels -- how are they maintenance-wise? Since the finish isn't as smooth/glossy as the standard silver wheels, do they collect/trap dirt more easily? And for those with them -- have you applied a coating like CQuartz or Opti-Coat? Did that change the shine/color at all?

3. Interior Trim: I'm a little worried about the darkness of the Touring interior, and have been thinking of ways to lighten/break it up. For those with the Carbon Fiber Trim Package -- does the gloss of the CF help "break up" the interior a bit? Also considering deviated stitching, Trim Painted in Exterior Color (likely GT Silver), and aftermarket houndstooth inserts to accomplish this (my CXX was denied).

4. Color: Does anyone with GT Silver regret their choice? I love GT Silver, but already own a 981 Spyder in the color, and have been pushing myself to branch out and try something new. For anyone who had a similar dilemma, which color did you go with?

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated! Can't wait to join your ranks as a GT3T owner
I have access to OEM houndstooth seats from Germany , mine just arrived ... incredible ... PM cheers

Regarding interior trim... I originally spec'd the standard Touring brushed anthracite. But after much agonizing and looking at many cars on the ground, I ultimately changed to carbon fiber to break up both color and finish from rest of interior. Don't think you can go wrong either way. Just go with your favorite trim choice. I had the anthracite for a couple years in my 991 GTS and absolutely loved it but was ready for a change.

I am willing to bet money that over 70% of PTS Touring are green.

The touring comes with "black" Al standard correct? Anthracite Al is an option and is dark grey/silver not black.

*Corrected* (thank you evilfij for pointing out my error below)...

Standard Touring trim (also seen on 991.1 GTS model and GT4) is called black anodized aluminum. Anthracite brushed aluminum is the more grayish no-cost option.

The standard bright brushed aluminum is only available on non-Touring GT3 variants, or on Touring via CXX.

All three are awesome IMO.

That’s wrong.

There are three brushed aluminium trims. Black which is standard on touring and GTS .1. Anthracite which is a no cost option and greyish in color. And, standard on a winged GT3, brushed aluminium.

I went for the free leather trim.

I would take that bet (need to wait to see if I collect on the gentleman’s bet with @usctrojan over the last build GT3. I said 2018, he said they would keep building into calendar year 2019, but it is looking good for my charity). 18/38 on Montoya’s list are green. Three olives, three Brewsters, three oak, two pure green, two viper, two Irish and a number of only one greens. Lots of blue Tourings (11) in addition to green ones. There are four meerblau (which is the most of any color on the list). I would say 45% green, 30% blue, 25% other colors based on, not only the list, but also seeing various builds on the web and Instagram.
