People back out all the time. Sometimes the truth is that simple.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with that! If anything we don't deride (or I should say berate) them enough.

Not just ADm/no ADM, it's the fact that the new buyer isn't getting to spec his own car because the dealer wanted to try to fish first. I have yet to see a single existing .2 GT3 posted anywhere that I would be interested in purchasing, at MSRP or even below. None of them are built the way I would want the car and I can't imagine spending this much coin on a car and not getting exactly what you want. Dealers that spec the special cars for the floor are robbing the customer base to some extent.

That said, I'm sure there are a lot of true instances of people backing out when it gets time to write that check. I think a certain percentage of GT3 buyers are stretching to afford the car and it doesn't take much in the way of negative life events to make it unworkable for them. As the saying goes, we make plans and God laughs.

We mock those that care to openly admit that they buy from a dealer with a markup/ADM.

Now we belittle those that try to pass along info -- be it accurate, sort of accurate, naive, or whatever.

Again, I swear. The enemy grows closer and closer everyday. It's like looking in the mirror. Oh, wait ...

Awesome, this should be a sticky.

Frankly I suspect the $30K+ ADM market is thin for the .2 GT3 (and dealers are starting to figure this out). Sure there are a few who might have paid $30K ADM early on but I suspect not many now. At $10K- $15K ADM, more might nibble for a configurable allocation (but not necessarily for a loaded up dealer spec'ed model). I'm curious to see when/how things shake out on this.

Agreed. I said at the very beginning, the amount this car was underpriced was about $10k and that was where I thought ADMs would eventually settle and trade at.

Prescient analysis Archimedes...$10K ADM sounds about right.

GT3s are not cheap any more.. Your looking at an average $175,000 build and after taxes, PPF and a couple other goodies your sitting around $190,000.

Now - do not get me wrong. Where else are you going to go find a NA, 500 screamer to 9000 redline with a Manual??? - no where. So I do believe at MSRP it is priced right and agree with Archimedes that $10,000 sounds about right

I could never do this (just thinking of it gives me anxiety), but I'm secretly jealous of the guy who's so YOLO he has to back out because he can't roll the ADM into the loan.
