Default .2 Passenger Cushion Passthrough

Has anyone been successful in modifying the passenger side cushion to allow the passthrough of the sub belt?

Why, Porsche???? Why?

Just had mine modified last week. Just remove the cushion and send to a shop that makes seat covers and has sewing machine.

.1 cushion is different... don't think it had a hole like this on the driver side...

and why would DOT allow driver side passthrough and not Passenger? Wouldn't it be all or nothing? Does clubsport option (where allowed) provide passenger passthrough?

passenger seat has an air bag weight sensor. Not required on the drivers side.

true. Didn't interfere on the .1. Maybe that is why they excluded... liability?

Good to know. My dealer offered to cut the hole and reupholster the passenger seat. Wonder if they reposition the weight sensor, or they just remove it?

Didn't have to do anything on sensor itself in the .1. Just re-position the electronic component under the seat. This was previously documented here (think on OrthoJoe's thread).

I'll contact my dealer to see if they have a source they trust.

The pass thru hole is front of the sensor did it myself this past weekend no big deal , had local upholster shop put a stitch in on either side of the hole good go, use the driver side pass thru hole in carbon fiber to make template then use on passenger side
also need to get sub mount for harness not a big deal

We also send our cushion out to a trusted local upholster to have them modified.

Thank you. Just want to make sure I don't screw up the seat cushions by cutting the seam open when I shouldn't.

I have a lead on a few good upholstery shops now so I'll pull the cushion off tomorrow and give it to one of them to have it done.
