Even though both prices and demand will be high, due to limited demand there will be ADM. Just look at the 911R and the production of the Touring, both models still command ADM and they are way more than 1948 copies combined.

Agreed. Once people see the spec of this car, they will go nuts. Maybe not as nutty as the 991R...but still nuts.

Where will they reveal the car? Goodwood?

Am I the only one who thinks it's really weird Porsche has had all these cars ready to go for months, but none have been released?

It's a head scratcher that they didn't release the GT4/Spyder at Geneva.

The only thing that comes to mind is perhaps emissions and the particle filter.

A dealer told me yesterday that the second EU batch of 3RS is delayed due to ongoing problems with WLTP testing, and that is also why the GT4 has not made an appearance yet. Presumably the same problem would affect the Speedster too.

No news is good news as far as I'm concerned because I'm worried I won't get one : I asked my SA for a Heritage edition spot as if I even have a choice in the matter. My fingers are crossed. Porsche NA asked me to update my address information this morning which got me all excited lol. Probably means nothing, other than they want to keep track of me for advertisements.

2015 and especially 2016 were great years for Porsche, I think 2019 and 2020 might be also quiet interesting years for Porsche.

This is almost certainly the case. There is an irony here. The US market was saddled with underperforming cars for decades due to our stricter emissions laws (especially California). The Germans always had the best performance models available to them. Now the shoe is on the other foot and Porsche could be selling cars in the US it cannot sell in the EU but does not. Guess you can’t risk the sensitivity of the home team.

Was informed by dealer that all incoming 2019 cars stateside will have the particulate filter.

I'm curious if anyone here in this forum received their car this 2019 and have the particulate filter?

Drive safe,

I said it before and I’ll say it again. I had an allocation for a German GT3 RS incoming in the second batch (expected delivery in July) and was warned about a loss of 20 ps and of course a weight penalty that goes with a particulate filter. Porsche were making these penalities very apparent to me so that I could decide if I wanted to proceed.

Question is how can it be removed and a full titanium exhaust fitted without warning light issues.

I hope there are ways for that second round of customers. Totally unique situation when legislation is dictating that the second batch of GT3 RS will be on a par with the GT3 in most respects other than looks and aero.

When there is a will there is always a way. I just hope it doesn’t require an Ecu flash as I don’t want to do that to a new car.
