We already know GT3 wheels fit so no big deal if you don’t like 21in wheels. Maybe the base has 20in and the heritage has 21.

I have this theory that bigger wheels are better for handling. If you had a set that where the middle of the wheel as in axle was at the same height as the centre of gravity of the car then there would be no roll on corners. In fact if the wheels were bigger than that even the car would lean into corners. Downsides are heavier wheels are harder to turn and more unsprung mass.

Larger diameter wheel/tire combo means larger footprint and or tire contact patch with road.

The Speedster was already shown at multiple venues in two forms last year...do we really think it is going to headline Geneva for Porsche?

I expect the 718 GT4 and/or Spyder, along with debut of another 992 variant...more special than the base models or Cabriolet...Turbo, perhaps?

I’ve been hearing rumors that heritage will only be available with offered colors not PTS.

As long as the non-heritage does not have alcantara.

Also, it could be like the touring which was original not available in PTS but later was ....

Has anyone been told "no" or been told something like there is no hope? I ask because I have not been told "no" yet. Actually, I'm on hold. Is this where everyone else is too: holding and waiting I'm speaking for North America? With some 1900 plus world wide, I think there will be plenty of 200k dollar open tops to go around. The Flipper situation makes it difficult for Porsche to sort who is actually a end user.

I think you are way too optimistic at 200k...remember the base 2011 cost $245k.

Although the previous Speedater in 2011 Wasnt a GT car, it was made in much less numbers that 1948 as I recall.

290k Euros was mentioned previously and I think that is utter extortion. It should be the price of 3RS in my eyes, especially considering the 3RS has a roll cage, wing, etc.

Okay, I think the market pool for a 200K PLUS topless car won't be too huge. At least I'm hoping it won't be too big. The price alone restricts the pool, then the top situation also makes it a bit smaller. IMHO this is a car made for my generation:: the kids who grew up playing in an old 356 in their front yard..
