The below was posted by "Loess" within the "991.2 GT3 RS" thread (https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...l#post15420984). Could show roughly how many of the Speedsters will come to the US and Canada. Looks like the volume may be about half the volume of the 991.2 GT3 RS (914 currently) so guesstimate for the Speedster could be 457.

Per "Pors9" in the same thread. He assets:
Our current verified are:
Model 991810 2018 GT3 - (NA) 3003 units
Model 991860 2018 GT2RS - (NA) 906 units
Model 991850 2019 GT3RS - (NA) 914 units
While these are in the system it is possible they don't all get built. That said, in our experience, there are very few that once they are in the system don't actually get built.

I am only relaying what was asserted in another thread and have zero history or knowledge of how Porsche VINs are issued for production and/or how Porsche reserves VINs with the NHTSA

Great data right there. So much for only a few hundred GT2RSs coming to the US. I had a feeling it was going to be close to 1,000 cars. Build baby build!

Looks like one of the Porsche dealers mistakenly leaked new photos of the Paris version. Still appears to be the concept 2 though

Maybe wishful thinking but on this last picture, look at the gap around the upper rear area. It appears the upper part slides up and towards the rear of the car to allow for an electric roof.

That would be the rear air vent

there will be 1,948 Speedster WW, meaning there will be roughly ~650 sent to N.A. USA will get ~600, Canada will get ~50.

the above listed document is just a reserved VIN bank range they submit to NHTSA. Not a production count.

As of 11/14 991.2 GT3RS is currently up to 862 verified built for N.A. of which 84 are verified for Canada.
IF production continues through March we can expect ~1,600 3RS for NA, (~1400 for USA)

No no. Look at the speester goldish logo. then look at the gap on the left lower side of it. The whole rear upper area appears to be detachable from the body.

Yes, it lifts to open the roof, why is this surprising?

Yes of course that lifts up. That's where the convertible hood will be stowed. It won't be electric though. Manual like a 981 Spyder. For it to be electric then the clamshell would need to be split in 2, which it isn't.

So on these speedsters, what's there in the space between the seats and the engine -- storage space/trunk? The Boxster/Spyder has the engine there and the trunk in the rear.

Empty space under clamshell probably.. just like on previous speedsters.

You mean storage/trunk to put stuff/bags in or just useless empty space? I haven't looked at previous speedsters.
