I pretty much agree with your sentiments..Amongst my current cars i have a 991.2GT3 and a 981 Spyder, and i love both equally, however in the last month where we have had pretty much solid unbroken sunshine, when i go to the garage to take the GT3 out, its the Spyder i go for..I keep thinking, even today, imagine the top down sensations of the Spyder with the glorious GT3 4L screamer..
Open top. genuine lightweight,9K NASP screamer with a 6 speed manual.........heaven.....!!!

What is the heritage package? If it means without it you don’t have to have the front bumper in primer and the strange mirrors, but can have that gorgeous interior - how do i get one in Irish Green???

Porsche NEEDS to offer a factory green on this car. Mamba from the Panamera would be a good choice (it looks similar to Long hood era metallic green) as well as anything that looks like a vintage color — olive, willow, radium, leaf, Irish, Smyrna, auratium, fjord, Palm, jade green metallic (356 era), lago — SOMETHING GREEN. It will sell, look at the take rate on lizard.
Ok cleaning ladies, when does the production car get announced so I can place my order?

and then thereare guys like me and my friends who put on 1500 miles immediately doing European delivery. When I sold my 997 Speedster, it had over 5k miles on the dial. Drive it, enjoy it, and if you break even, call it a bonus. If you don’t, that’s a car for you, it depreciates; some less than others.

Lots to like. Love all the details and one of the best interiors Porsche has done. First thing I'd do is add BBS Mg wheels. Too bad we won't be able to order radio delete....

Probably a good thing I'm not a fan of Speedsters.
BTW, just a few weeks ago, I sat in (what I believe was) a 964 Speedster with only a few hundred miles on it. Only thing I could think of was What a waste.

This is the perfect car for Porsche Circle Jerks who, on Mondays, are counting down the days until their weekend Cars & Coffee get together.

A better solution would have the back camera feed into the LCD panel on the right side of the five-gauge cluster. That way radio delete remains a factory option and the back-up camera still functions.

Possibly, but if reverse cameras are now DOT requirement it's likely going to be checked during inspections. In MA they just installed live cameras - four to be exact - in all inspection garages.
