With 1948 being made, the fact that it is a convertible and manual only (assuming this is true), the US should get a healthy portion of 1948, maybe 800 or more, and I figure it will be $200k plus, this will not be 911R level hard to get. Keep in mind when the R came out, everyone thought there would be no manual GT 911 cars anymore.
I only have room and time for (1) toy and I would not trade my Wingey for this. Plus- I am betting this will be closer to $250,000. I am figuring add the difference between the .2 GT3 and .2 RS to the .2 RS and that is where the Speedster will be probably be priced/MSRP

mare you assuming 1948 made bc the start of Porsche history Ie 70 year celebration etc. or was that announced? The last speedster made in 2011 - only 356 were produced.

Chris (and others) have said it will be 1948. Chris is usually (always?) right.

I just received a note from a dealer asking if I was interested in a spot.. and I'm nobody in Porsche world. While I have other routes available if I want one, this is already interesting..
why?

I'm thinking price must be high enough where this won't be a slam-dunk. However, under $200k I'm interested. I've owned a spyder, I own a gt3... and for my needs.. an open-top with a 9k screamer engine and a manual is my holy grail.

If it's not this, it will be the 718 spyder at $100k.. I'm patient and content to wait and see what happens.

Pretty sure it will be well over 200k, as CAlexio surmises the price could eliminate the prospect pool a bit (turbo s exclusive style)

I also think that it will be incredibly fun to drive on the track (as all open top cars are) but very curious what tire profiles/ characteristics the car shows up with.

CW- my comment was more inside joke (for the 20 people who know now) than reality (I'm definitely not going to break a story here before a Flacht embargo) and I think a lot of people took it that way. I however will (once embargo is lifted) post a nice write up of my own Story and Futuristic Driving Experience behind the small windscreen.

In order to avoid confusion I capitalized it for hiding and emphasizing contextual clues. Of course if you follow a few key people on instagram you might be able to put it together. I know you get so excited.

I pretty much agree with your sentiments..Amongst my current cars i have a 991.2GT3 and a 981 Spyder, and i love both equally, however in the last month where we have had pretty much solid unbroken sunshine, when i go to the garage to take the GT3 out, its the Spyder i go for..I keep thinking, even today, imagine the top down sensations of the Spyder with the glorious GT3 4L screamer..
Open top. genuine lightweight,9K NASP screamer with a 6 speed manual.........heaven.....!!!

1948 cars is confirmed. 23-25k for the Heritage option. With the heritage option and some nice CXX, car will be well north of 270k.

What does the heritage option get you? The graphics, the cognac interior, does it include the talbot mirrrors?

Limited to 1948 is too many to withhold it's value in long run.
