Speedster - Calling All Cleaning Ladies

I think it's a great design. Much more integrated rear than other 911 Speedsters. Streamliners are like 981 Spyder rather than giant humps like on previous versions.
Interesting that from the back you can't see the air intake but it's there. Love the GT silver and brown leather and gold details. Not sure about the white yet.
I would do ANYTHING.

Attractive, but taken as a whole it appears to be awaiting only the bubble wrap for final release to the relevant qualified purchaser.

Those "cabriolet" spy shots show clear differences from the normal
Cabriolet top. If you didn't have a cab, you might not notice. To me, they are clearly camo trying to conceal a Spyder / Speedster style top. Don't forget the Boxster Spyder tops were based on a cabriolet body with a completely different roof and deck lid.
No way this car has a standard cabrio top in production guise.

In this thread there are shots of a car with a clearly disguised top, and there are others that are definitely not this car...
My thoughts exactly.

I love the look of a true 2-seater 911 body. And GT3 engine in a convertible is a great idea. The looks are not resonating with me otherwise, but if it's much lighter than a GT3, I'd still want it. It's probably a good thing I cannot get one because I'd want it but have no use or garage space for it.

I'll buy a winged RS version.

I love everything about it, from the colour combo to the retro brown leather..I also admire Porsche to have the marketing ***** to make it manual only..I can see that in my garage parked between my LG RS and Carrera white 981 Spyder..
Trouble is only last week i advised my SA that i'd have no interest in the forthcoming Speedster...Tomorrow i'm gonna tell him that i was joking with him..! Question is, will he take me seriously..

It's a very interesting concept ... and I am sure they call it concept because as others have mentioned, many of its elements can't legally be produced, at least not for the US market. So I'm going to wait on whether to get angry at the clouds or wax indifferent at the fact that an allocation isn't forthcoming either way.
I can't nor do I care to speak from a flipper's or speculator's pov, but from an enthusiast's point of view for me this a 'I would love to have one' but not a 'I must have one' 911. I don't feel this is as special a car as the R, and roof composition notwithstanding, is much closer to its GT3 sibling than the R was to its. The R was special relative to its counterparts because of how it drove, the Speedster differentiates itself more on styling and being open top. In fact, speaking as a resentfully hair free domed man who will gladly trade extra strength aloe therapy for a stimulating open top experience, I estimate that I will be able to get a similar if not superior visceral thrill out of the upcoming Spyder.
That's all I've got deriving from a press release.
