The pics of the Heritage Pack with decals are starting to grow on me!

Dealer I work has one Speedster allocation available, confirmed PTS and will be $300K+ sticker. This is a dealer with whom I have a good relationship and have bought a number cars from, including GT car at MSRP. They're trying to get $500K for this PTS Speedster.

I think these 991.2 Speedsters are really special cars and would love to own one. But ADMs of $150-200K seem really nuts given what we've all seen happen with GT2RS, 991.2 GT3, 991.2 GT3RS which all had significant premiums over MSRP initially but have drifted back to MSRP more or less. Especially given nearly 2,000 Speedsters are being built so while limited/numbered series it's not exactly going to be uber rare like a 997 RS 4.0 or even 991R.

^ insane pricing, 911R which is cheaper and RS4.0 which is similar in $$$ are probably better buys.

Just received my Speedster! Well at least the 1:43 scale LOL. Sparks did a great job with the 1:43 scale. Sparks has quite a few options for 1:43 as well as a 1:18 scales.

1:43 (Heritage)
1:43 (White)
1:18 (Black)

Cool car, and not special for 300k above MSRP so learned all the R buyers on the flip market. Remember the VIP’s paid MSRP, and made a killing same with this and second buyer will be holding the Madoff bag.

Yup, it's be a rinse and repeat. Given that there are more than 2x more Speedsters than 991Rs, the prices will settle in closer to MSRP or at MSRP than where the Rs currently sit. I know that there are Speedster allocations out there that can be had for $100k over currently.

‘Yup 100k too much ......I wouldn’t do 50k. Same time next year mark my word MSRP. But hey if you want it that’s cool too. We’re lucky too have so many cars from so many brands. Ever thought you would see a time where a Ferrari is just another Ferrari .......we have our car dream production, production so go drive them.

Correct! They are very, very, special cars. But far as the ADM's, if you can afford to shell out $300K+ who cares about how much the ADM is, although I admit that $500K is asinine. 1948 cars or whatever it's still a Speedster with a history that goes back decades. If it retreats back to MSRP, which I sincerely doubt....so what! PTS or not it's still a Speedster and the first of its kind that wasn't made just for fluff or to reign as a "queen" It was made to drive! Collectibility just happens to be a plus.

I'm not so sure they are "very, very" special...

You know, this is a strong point and put better than I was able to after driving the new car. 3.2, 964, and 997 were all arguably style over substance, with little if anything to differentiate them from their Cabriolet basis other than (in some cases…). They were equipment cars, or equipment-delete cars, and may (or may not) have offered advantages in simplicity. Much like the pushrod 356s.

This Speedster is different, with significantly different engine/transmission/suspension/brakes/wheels/tires/chassis bracing/lightweight parts/etc...making it more akin to the four-cam Carrera Speedsters but even those weren't as different from their basis as this one is.

The 991R, on the other hand, is a marker that's hard to avoid. Then again, it's not all that materially different from the GT3 it's based on or the Touring that followed it (and no, I do not intend to open that can of worms...just my opinion and the R is still the numbered car, etc).

A speedster in not just a GT3 without a roof, or any gt car without a roof ..
I truly understand that gt car enthusiasts may consider the speedster less interesting than the current (and next) more powerful and track focused GT...
The speedster is another paradigm : a gt car for open roads far from circuits, with a maximum of emotion.
The open top is the best way to enjoy the sound and the power of a NA flat6 without reaching insane speed (or opening windows ).
