9/93 Zuffenhausen delivery of my PTS Polar Silver '94 . 993's were already being sold in Europe. The only 964's still being produced were late Speedsters and 3.8RSs'. These were tough times for Porsche. They still refer to it as "the crisis."
Last week getting fuel. Almost 50,000 miles and 25 years. Europe, Boulder, Hermosa Beach, Boston, New Jersey and now south Florida. Often used as a DD, sometimes construction vehicle or moving van. You can fit a lot of stuff if you lift the clam shell.
Home Depot earlier today. Regardless of some opinions on RL the 911R feels light, spry and is everything a contemporary 911 should be. I just wish the folding buckets (GT2 seats) were available in the U.S. so it would be easier to throw stuff in the back.

In that case, only suckers like you and me would be taking our wallets out and still buy the car. Just like the way we did with the 918 Spyder, lol!

Oh, and it gets the wing from the Cup car!
Wingless version is 50k extra but with a 50mph lower top speed.

Sometimes it was a daily driver and went everywhere. Sometimes it was parked. Sometimes it was stored. I have had two different places to live at times and some years I lived on a sailboat. 25 years is a long time. I'm pretty careful about parking. The paint on metal is all original. The rear bumper has been resprayed. Someone keyed the passenger side in L.A. back in the early 2000's. I think it may have been a valet I wouldn't let take it. But most of the damage color sanded out. A few hood rock chips. On a snowy night at the Eisenhower Tunnel in the mid-nineties I did a couple of 360s' but thankfully missed a guardrail by a foot. I have so, so many great memories. The Speedster is part of me. The point is be careful but drive the cars. I have friends with incredible collections but the cars never see the light of day. As a friend at the factory recently told me when referring to warehouses full of 911's said, "driving three time around the industrial park is not driving the car." But he's German.
