Just to clarify.
The $250k went directly from the buyer to the Cystic Fibrosis foundation. Hennessy will not touch that.
Then to make it very clear this is not at an attempt to profit, they are donating the difference between MSRP and Invoice directly to the foundation.
Would be be great to see other dealers join the fight for a good cause!

Such a heart warming experience Sean. And I am honored to have been a witness to this amazing event.

Burning Brakes
they can charge anything they want and will all sell out and go up in value long term. what was crazy for porsche was not selling the spec edt cars for wildly inflated prices and allowing the flippers to make all the profit. its not for me but that is the market

If they follow pattern there won't be pressure sensors. Instead they will simply look at intake airflow, decide if it's within normal tolerance and retard if it's not. This will likely mean the car won't respond well to some of the normal tuning tricks (headers, etc) unless it also has software.
It's a lot easier to make a small, light muffler if you're willing to increase back-pressure. I'd imagine they will pattern that part on the GPF but without the fancy materials, saving quite a bit of money as well as accomplishing their apparent goal of keeping European and ROW cars functionally identical.

Ugh, I understand they look pretty but why buckets in a convertible?
Again one has to choose between comfort and the correct seats for a non track car vs resale.

I don't know. The LWB seats in my GT3T fit me a lot better than the 18-way as a road car, which surprised me.

Any other comments? Nothing left to say?
I am very surprised at how few reactions there seems to be after all this time now that the micro site is live.
Can configure on UK site as well as AUS. Colors?
Heritage vs. non-heritage?
May as well buy Boxster Spyder?
Anything!
I would like to know how many people would pass on the Speedster for Spyder if offered both? I realize that both will probably hold their values. Speedster will cost more interest but may actually go up in value.
Spyder will still offer N.A. manual, and would be a great car to keep until the next one is built in another four years.
Speedster would probably be a better choice to buy and just keep being marketed as a timeless collectible.
Thoughts?

Do you have an allocation? Otherwise, none of the questions matter.

I was offered $150K over making the car way out of my budget. PM me if interested as they may take way less as I'm not even going to counter back, I'll wait for the 4.0 Boxster Spyder.

I should be driving the new Speedster early next week if the connecting flights don't screw up, very curious to sample the first NA GT engine with the particulate filters.
Do you need a 9000 RPM GT engine in a car that is more likely to slowly trundle along expensive boulevards than do anything else? We'll see.
