in only 4 yrs , we Porsche fans have gone from being smugly thankful we didn't have to play the " if you wanna buy a new hot model ( non-supercar ) Ferrari at MSRP , you have to buy a depreciation bomb like a new 612/FF at full MSRP plus one to two pre-owned V8s at MSRP + ADM " game .. to now seeing track intended GT3 series 911s built in the thousands and thousands being ordered in PTS and babied to hold/ enhance future value
I see a bit of Testarossa mania going on . In 1990-91 , the '85-90 Ferrari Testarossas w MSRPs of around 150k were trading at a up to a million dollars each despite nearly something like 9000 built . Even a savvy well known older Ferrari collector in TX bought something like a dozen or two , convinced they were gonna be $$$$$ in 25 yrs ...today they are barely at orig MSRP for the best ones ( and were sitting for $55k at the bottom of the recession in 2009-2011
buyer beware on any model built in the thousands AND market-pampered from new ( vs something high volume but a survivor like a pristine showroom level one owner 5k mile Supra where 99% if its kind are either long junked , irreversibly riced out or in barn find condition )
what will the near-vintage mkt be like when there are thousands of shrink-wrapped 991 era GT3 series vying for buyers 25 yrs from now ?!

Surely they would not be driving around with a fake panel covering up the cooling fans.
I think that's still my bet though.

- AP saying something special is coming
- 991 swan song needs to be good
- 21" rears on mule
- Speedster better suited to side intakes because of rear deck

The first 911R came in 1967. The second iteration of the 911R was 2016. The third generation is "forecasted" on 2065.
The 911 Touring or GT3 Touring will produced more frequent and often, as consumer demands.
