Speedster - Calling All Cleaning Ladies

Okay, I think the market pool for a 200K PLUS topless car won't be too huge. At least I'm hoping it won't be too big. The price alone restricts the pool, then the top situation also makes it a bit smaller. IMHO this is a car made for my generation:: the kids who grew up playing in an old 356 in their front yard..

If only 1948 will be produced why be concerned about the price? 99.9% of us will not even have the opportunity to sniff the exhaust. These cars are going to the whales in the Porsche customer base and dealer owners.

Although the previous Speedater in 2011 Wasnt a GT car, it was made in much less numbers that 1948 as I recall.
290k Euros was mentioned previously and I think that is utter extortion. It should be the price of 3RS in my eyes, especially considering the 3RS has a roll cage, wing, etc.

I understand how that is true, but for those with the means and the desire, this car is gettable IMHO, if not Brand new then later on the secondary market. Anything above a thousand in number is a pretty large edition. Cars like this don't fall into one's lap, but if you Really want one then you will find a way IMHO.

With almost 370 million people in USA/Canada and an estimated ~675 speedsters for the USA and Canada combined there won’t be much availability. Add in that there will only be half as many speedsters as GT2RS and there will certainly be a hefty ADM.

1,948 worldwide sounds like a lot but remember there are 200 Porsche dealerships in the USA alone.

I think this special car will fit the china/asia market better then the RS models - China is the biggest Porsche market in the world so we will see how many cars that will be built for every region

Not really impressed with these spy shots. Looks like a convertible GT3 with Spyder like humps. I can't tell if the windshield is lower. Windows rounded at roof line looks a bit strange. Cool mirrors only on the production cars? Not feeling it...
