My new GT3 will be on the Primrose Ace 12/1 on its way to Jacksonville.
Finalized my deal today; the good news is $157,050.MSRP; trade in $91,000. on my 2014 GT3 with 23,000. miles (7K track) YIKES.
Showed me lots of data on dealer wholesale prices on my car at $83,000. There are 247 .1's for sale from $115K to MSRP on CarsGuru alone and a lot of new GT3's are on the way.

Check bet and raise. They'll try and post it for that amount then have it sit for months.

In this case, I hope the OP at least got a reach around.

You know what....the trade number might be low...who cares....selling that car privately would be brutal and you’ve got a new .2 GT3 on the way....whatever the numbers are you did the deal so you can stomach it.....the money spent will be LONG forgotten after the first drive....congrats!!!!

I hate selling cars and suck at it, so I get going with the dealer. That said we need to find a better way for Rennlisters to help Rennlisters on both sides of this kind of transaction. A network where multiple dealers can bid on a car? I’m glad the OP is at peace, and at the end of the day that’s what money’s for. That said I can’t help but feeling that there was too much hair on the barbershop floor after this one.

Further evidence that the trade-in price is out of line with the market ...
Put N1 Cup 2 tires on the .1 GT3 and you'll probably close about half of the gap in lap time to the .2 GT3. If my .1 GT3 was only worth $90-100K, that would mean that any further depreciation should be minimal, so it would make sense to keep it at least for the remainder of the decade engine warranty and continue to drive and track it for a relatively low depreciation cost per mile.

I am cool. I have sold a couple P cars myself before and it is a nightmare.
I had a great time on the track with my '14 and no regrets. Someone will get a great deal from Suncoast.
Cocktail time.
