Default Yellow vents and climate control panel??

Got a surprise call from my dealer a couple weeks ago offering me another customer’s previously configured car. Lucky for me, that customer moved out of the country and didn’t want this jet black beauty.

Vehicle was well optioned (PCCBs, LWBs, black LEDs, lift, full leather) but also came with stuff that I’m having trouble stomaching - yellow painted vents, climate control panel, and headlight washer
nozzles...

Interested in your opinion on these yellow accents. I was turned off when the dealer first sent me pics but having seen the car in person, I’m warming up to them.

Cost to return vents and climate control panel is about $2000. Ouch!

Let me know what you think.

Thanks.

The vents look fine to me - they look good actually and dress up the interior a bit. Not a huge fan of that painted climate control panel though. I bet you could find that part from a wreck later for cheap.

Also not a fan of the nozzles. They were always one of the ugliest parts of the car to me regardless of color and now they stand out even more.

Everything else on the car looks great though. Congrats

If you don't think you have a chance at an allocation and these yellow accents are starting to grow on you, grab it. Is it being offered as a msrp car?

Looks pretty obnoxious ... your eye goes to those pieces right away and not in a good way. Bumble Bee GT3.

Another buyer backed out ??

Yes - already bought the car at MSRP. I think illegal to sell above MSRP in Canada.

Car looks fantastic. I’d change the washer nozzles and climate control panel. Vents look good.

Since you now own it .... A few drives you’ll look right past them. Small time detail vs the real excitement. You can tweak the nozzles and control panel if they really bother you. Not a big deal to do so.

i think you’re right. Now just need to get used to those super restrictive bucket seats. Not used to being so upright!

the yellow vents actually give it a nice touch in combination with the yellow belts. Niples are easy to get painted in black, guess for the climate control the same.

So if this is the "only" extra cost to get the car, no brainer to me!

Agree re nipples. Climate control panel is integrated with buttons, so replacing means new switches and electronics - hence the $1400 cost...damn

There are some aftermarket brackets to slightly tilt the seat right??

Get DBCarbon to do the Climate Control panel in CF, then at least you have something unique for your money.
