Best Exhaust for a 991.2 GT3

Hi Doug, unless you're going to add an electronic intercept of some sort and control the valves outside of the factory system, they will close between 2000-3000 rpm regardless of the state of the button (open or closed). This is due to the factory ensuring the valves are closed to prevent issues with drone.
There are electronic intercepts available, but quite honestly we like the factory implementation of the valves, they open with increasing load on the engine to keep the engine safe and performance optimized and close where there would be annoying drone (highway cruising etc...)
If you're looking for more volume, more power and less weight our 991 Street Header systems with valved side deletes is a great way to go. The Race system is even better...

I received mine the other day and I have to say they look fantastic. This is not my first Bypass but very impressed by how light but also how large the tubes are. It is an interesting design and one needs to see them in person. I am anxious to put them on next week. I also like the size of the tips. They are 4 inches wide( left to right, per se) and 4.5 inches North to South- this I like very much and with the extended tips they are going to stand/stick out- sort to speak.

I’m leaning towards doing Akrapovic race system again. It was great on my 997.2 GT3. But I’m gonna do more homework on Dundon and IPE to compare.

I have akrapovic on my rs7, it brings me a smile even on the worst days. They have become my favorite aftermarket company for exhaust for various reason (quality of build, sound etc..), "pricing" is the only real downside to the product, but you get what you pay for.

The following are my thoughts:
- The Akra very expensive and if paying that much I would want to confirm I am getting the performance for the price. It certainly looks pretty but you will never see it but if you really like that titanium sound and money, no object, then I guess this makes sense
- If you want Performance Dundon, and many Owners, have proved that you get the Performace you pay for. I would have to hear both the Akra and Dundon, live, to determine which sound better because no video will express that.
-IPE- No comment. I would need to do my due diligence and see all the data.
******One thing which would also be a huge consideration would also be Customer Service if any issues arise ect..
Of your three choices I would probably arrive at Dundon and I have never purchased any of their products. But that is not to say I wouldn't in the future

I like the stock center muffler, and live in SC , no inspection, so I an run the Catless headers. I am most concerned with warranty and throwing codes. IF the code issue is moot, and it will not through codes, dont have to also do a tune (obsessed said something about not having to due a tune for his RS) and It is cool with my dealer for warranty, I am getting headers.

Wow, so much information to take in, this is great for the consumer.
Thanks to those who chose GMG as their exhaust of choice as we have been shipping them out the last few weeks as many of you have timed our shipments with your car deliveries.
We have been making this version for the GT3 since 2007 and it's by far one of the best upgrades for the car to really extract that proper sound the car can make when "unmuffled", while still utilizing the Sport Button.
