Default Is this the first totaled .2 GT3 in North America?

Came across a gorgeous white .2 GT3 (PDK w/ LWB and black wheels with red stripe) today that had recently been declared totaled by the prior owner's insurance company. The prior owner had wrapped the car around a tree on the street and repair estimates called for a partial frame replacement, and the incident did a number on the rear axle (the rear passenger side wheel was pushed out in a very awkward position). The insurance co. opted to total the car and pay out the owner (now prior owner). From what I understand, the car is slated to be sold by the insurance co. as a salvage vehicle. Hurts to look at such a great car being totaled, however folks should be on the lookout for a rebuilt white .2 GT3 that may soon come up for sale...

I don't think that's the first one..... I'm not going to post pics but a .2 was pingpong-slammed badly at Sebring this past Saturday... hydroplaned off the still wet start/finish line. Hoosiers.

Nope.... ran in solo black group; silver but not rhodium... car was prepped well (cage, harness, FLines/R7, track rotors, etc.) and driver is okay but poor point two.

As you know the normal protocol is no throttle, no brake, no steer... just coast thru at speed before & after the paint.

I would hardly call that "wrapped around a tree".

Recommend a little touch up paint, micro-fibre cloth, and Zoloft for the depression...

My eyes.... Hope the owner is ok. Maybe they'll part out the car?

LOL...from my understanding, the owner tried to part out the car but the insurance company refused. The insurance company sold the car "as is" as a salvage. I will try and post the VIN if the car is still there when I swing by over the weekend.

When I see nice vehicles in disrepair, it makes me fully realize end of day it's just a car.
