The other thing I wanted to report on and do a quick review.
The ALP+Net Radar set up.
First of all this is a first. I was a long time ago a V1 fan, had about 4 of them when they were the hottest thing. I got tied of the cost upgrades and quite frankly the detector is ugly and big and hasn't changed in decades so I then moved up to Escort 9500ix. I used those for a while and then moved into the Escort Max series. Still have those in the wife's car and my DD. The stealth install of the ALP+Net was always a want. I could never pull the trigger plus I seem to not keep my cars for very long. Once I realized I was keeping the GT3 for a long time I jumped in and this trip was the first real use of it.
Effectiveness - simply perfect. My friend on the trip also had a radar detector. I believe the Escort Redline. I usually got the hits a few seconds before him and I know he would radio to me with a few false hits that I did not get.
Direction - the Net Radar also lets you know verbally where it is coming from so I was able to get that info where he could not. This actually saved us a few times. A few cops where hanging behind us and we could not see them but they had radar on us. After several miles they got tired and flew on by.
Laser - no laser hits on the trip so I cannot report anything on the laser jamming.
Customizable - this is where the ALP+Net is amazing. I got the BT module so everything can be done on your phone on the fly. I had the system set up for CA where only have KA and Laser set up. However you can put in 3 profiles which came in handy. I get a file somewhere that shows all radar/laser used by county LEO. I was able to set up a separate profile for when we entered OR and they do use K band and well as we even had a cop with X. With a push of the button I was in that profile. It is also nice just not having more stuff in the windshield.
Overall I couldn't be happier with the product and with my install. Joe at Rocco's Auto Tech in Costa Mesa was great.

My surgeon Moe at Glistening Perfection is doing some hip surgery on the GT3. Back as good as new.
