19" HRE Clear PCCB Brakes?
Just a quick question, can you run 19" wheels on a car with PCCB's?
Are there certain wheels that may or may not fit?
Best Regards,
Dave

I don't believe so.

Yes, I spoke with the guys at Forgeline last week and they said their 19" wheels will clear the PCCB's but it's extremely tight.
You really have to be mindful of where you put the wheel weights when balancing. The extremely tight fit is also going to scuff the crap out of your nice yellow calipers. You will certainly get some clagg buildup between your caliper and wheel leading to a cosmetically trashed caliper, but it should function just fine.
This is the main reason why I'm replacing my OEM PCCB's with the new AP Racing steel big brake kit.

I will admit though, the clearance between 19" wheels and the PCCB's is incredibly tight. The clearance is so tight that we issue a warning for those wanting 19" wheels over PCCB's because what could happen with road debris. If you get a rock or stone stuck between the caliper and the inner barrel, it can score the entirety of the barrel leaving your wheel damaged. We understand the demand for 19" wheels on this car, but there is a huge potential for having debris get stuck between the caliper and the inner barrel, so we ask those owners to only seriously consider 19" wheels if and only if they are ok with the potential damage that it could cause. Also, for those looking to use these wheels for track purposes, tire clag tends to get stuck in the barrels as well because of tight clearance.
Here's an example of a 991 GT3 with PCCB's and 19" R101's. You can easily tell from these photos that the clearance is very very tight.

Here's the details on that particular set:
Front 19x9.5 - 22.00lbs
Rear 19x12 - 24.00lbs
For those who are thinking, nah, I don't want to have to worry about the clearances to the inner barrel and caliper, you can go with our 20" R101 Lightweight option which is even lighter than the standard R101 even in 19".
R101 Lightweight specs
20x9 - 17.20lbs
20x12 - 20.30lbs
Upon request, yes we can make a 19" R101 Lightweight for the GT3 as well, but no data on that yet, it hasn't been requested so we haven't produced it yet.

I would not track with PCCBs and 19s.
Cars and Coffee duty? Sure. But lots of high speed turning and cornering? Nyet.

Thanks Guys, I'll stick with 20's for now... not worth the 'risk' of getting something caught between the barrel and the caliper, as I'll just be doing 'fun spirited' events...
Appreciate the insight!
