Do not need to run-in an engine below 5000rpm first 3000km anymore??
I mean the new 2.GT3.

The Porsche instructor told me, to take it easy for first 1000km... and then 'let her rip'.

in principle yes, you can go with your summer tires in the winter. But if you drive in bad weather conditions than you are in trouble. The way around is funny enough no problem, winter tiere in the summer are from a legal point of view ok. In Austria different law, there you have to have winter tires with at least 4mm left.

However, I would not plan to go to the alps or dolomites with Cup tires in March long term ahead. Weather can be very different. A couple of years ago, we had snow in June down to 1000m. Big surprise....
