Default .1 GT3 Meet .2 GT3

Took delivery of .2 GT3 last weekend and took a few side-by-side photos.

The .2 was on its way to Esoteric Detail for an appointment with Todd's team. Car is there now getting the new car prep done as well as PPF, window tinting and graphics applied. A shout out to the NS2 Media team (Nick and Anthony) for helping me with the design. More pics will be posted to the 991.2 GT3 Pictures thread when the car is complete in a few weeks (yes, that's killing me, but have to be patient).

One thing I noticed when the two were side-by-side and that is the .2 has 1/2" more ground clearance at the front lip than the .1. Confirmed both lifts were down, any delivery 'stuff' in .2 suspension was removed. The .1 does have a track alignment with some negative camber, but thinking that's not affecting it. Anyway, may have to lower it a bit (what can be done with stock suspension) to get a bit more aggressive look.

A heads up...more to come...re: paint imperfections. I will let the experts submit a post with more details in the coming days. Without keeping you in suspense....appears to be normal and self-correcting. We'll see.

Congratulations on the new purchase! Did you trade the .1 back in? If so with or without the decals?

Default awesome

Cars look awesome. Can you post pics of the decals/design that you have planned for the .2 and also specs for the new car, and lastly (please) would be interested to know what Esoteric has to do to your car to correct it, and how bad was it upon delivery. Are you going with the full ppf wrap, or front areas only? Since you had the .1 before, can you also tell me whether the front axle lift option is necessary or not. I'm working on speccing mine out and it seems a high cost option. Wondering if I really need it.

Cars look great, have fun. Very jealous.

Congrats on the RY! I have seen one multiple times alread (as I posted in the pics thread) and it is absolutely stunning.

This is the best 911 for racing yellow. Looks amazing! Congrats!

The .1 looks lower in the front, and the .2 looks lower in the rear. It may just be the way they were photographed.

Nice to see an exciting color RY instead of the more conservative colors. Great choice

Yes. Traded it in with the decals still on.

Thank you. Funny thing, how the .1 was a car I did not order, but was offered by the dealer (MSRP) and I was a bit skeptical at first especially coming out of a black 997.2 GT3, but I have to tell you the color has really grown on me, and I am always surprised by how many compliments I get.

Thanks for the clarification on trading the car with the decals. You helped me with the decals for my car via email. Was wondering if I should take them off if I decide to trade eventually if ever.
congratulations again.

Looking good. I wouldn’t bother trying to take them off if trading in. Unless the dealer make a big stink about it, I’d leave it.

Thanks, I can’t see myself trading this car in just yet. Never say never when it comes to this hobby. I just need to stop reading about the new car and I’ll still like mine

Does it have paint blemishes, or do you not know yet

Yeah, but apparently they’re normal. As I understand it there is moisture in the paint under the white protective wrap put on by Porsche. When you take off the wrap wherever there were wrinkles/creases you have those in the paint. Apparently, you give it a few days after the wrap is removed and it clears up. I think BG (Chris) will want to hold on to your car for a few days to have that clear up before delivery; my guess.
