Agreed! It's almost like some people think if they say it enough times it becomes true. Highly doubt it will be the last NA they have to please a certain base which is us

If Porsche does away with NA engines, which they will have to at some point, it will be replaced with something that will outperform current NA motor. Do we really think that change will kill the GT3 market. May help current GT3 cars. Choice would be to go to another none NA brand.

I am not totally convinced Porsche cannot come up with a very small turbo, add huge torque and 50 more horses but not much weight penalty, and in the same time keep most of the NA characteristics including that NA sound. If anyone thinks this cannot be done from engineering knowledge please enlighten me why.

The TPMS on my 991.2 3RS keeps giving low pressure readings but the pressure is correct. I have reset the TPMS a few time and the TPMS yellow light goes out only to come on again the next drive. The dealership wants the car dropped off and need a few days to figure it out…….does that seem necessary or reasonable? Is it that complex a problem to figure out? I was hoping they could fix it while I wait or same day.

TMPS with both my GT3 and GT3 RS were very unreliable, and very hard to reset, and it seems you have to do it multiple times before it goes away
just poor technology

so I will be taking delivery of my GT3 RS in 3 weeks at Atlanta PEC. Just curious which insurance most people are using for this car? Not sure whether I should include under my Hagerty collector car insurance or daily driver insurance?

The base GT3 is what makes the 991 GT series seem so plentiful. Porsche will sell ~2,400 for N.A., more then all other GT models combined.
991.1 was the same with 2,150 of 4,000 GT cars for N.A. being base GT3.
If you search around for cars for sale you will see 2018 GT3's are running from 174068 and are over 177000 (2900 cars). GT2RS's are running 185067 to 185880 (800) and 3RS's are running 164064 to 164950+ (850). I'm not saying everyone of these cars are built but it gives one an idea. Now add in November and December at least.

Nice, I like them building cars. Looks like we might get 1,000 GT2RS in the US when the dust settles.

What we need is for gmaki to come out of retirement and create a Registry for the GT3, GT3RS, and GT2RS like he did in the below link for the GT4!

Sharkwerks has black tips for 991.1 GT3RS for $460; isn't it same for 991.2 GT3RS?

*I’ll update this post as I continue to research, please feel free to respond with vin numbers beginning before KS164064 or after KS164954.

A quick search does show vin “64064” is a Miami Blue (non WP) 3RS built for the United States.
The next U.S. production 3RS was “64078” a LG (non WP) produced on 7-6-18.
..64081 built on 7-7-18
64095 built on 7-9-18

I think we get the idea...

“64940” built on 10-31-18
the most recent VIN “64954” is a MB GT3RS built on 11-5-18

While It does seem logical based on the fact there are a bank of reserved VIN numbers in sequence it does not mean they will produce them all as proven by the build sheets and vin checks.

Even if production continues past March It is very improbable they will produce more then 1k 3RS for NA (much less 2RS).
At an estimated 950 for N.A. it means ~100 for Canada and ~850 for the US.

Original 991.1 GT3 RS tips are also black but not made from titanium.
If the question is that is it possible to have black tips made from titanium,I don't think so.

Our current verified are:

Model 991810 2018 GT3 - (NA) 3003 units

Model 991860 2018 GT2RS - (NA) 906 units

Model 991850 2019 GT3RS - (NA) 914 units

While these are in the system it is possible they don't all get built. That said, in our experience, there are very few that once they are in the system don't actually get built.
