Looks like some of us will be getting a free hood
The carbon hood is being sold by Suncoast for $18,900, that is quite a bonus from porsche,

Mailing a warranty hood... wtf, seriously... lol

Whoever runs their procurement / vendor management function should be taken out behind the wurst shed and beaten with a brat.

Even Porsche couldn’t believe how many people will throw crazy money at a few pounds...

Or they're building more 3RS's than budgeted.

Porsche are desperate to get as many GT cars out as possible before the WLTP deadline so I am sure they are stretching their supply chain to the max. I have no idea when my carbon steering wheel will show up.

I have the CF paddles but not the steering wheel, also missing the hood.

Another thing that we not have figured out is about the floor mats. In the description och the WP they say lightweight carpet trim, but I have the normal ones. The GT2 RS have special floor mats.

Fair point. But you'd think they could flex to account for some of it. Wheels I get but carbon trim and hood seems strange. Many potential suppliers.

If someone gets the replacement CF wheel, I would be interested in the non-CF black front part they remove.

So cars orders with WP get to keep the old wheels, hood plus other back ordered stuff not installed at time of delivery? Those parts add up to quite a bit of extra cash, so nice of them

Dropping 18K up front to shed a few lbs is no bargain.

Who would want those items ? I don’t see a market for them. They are doing a favor for Porsche by keeping them.

wow, this is so bizarre. It sounds like when I pick up my WP on ED it has the potential to be quite a Frankenstein! Good thing I ordered LG. (Funny, huh?) But I’ll take a free frunk, will be good to beat up on ED instead of the clear CF; plus it’ll make great wall art. I know where I’ll put all the stickers from the mountain passes, as well as any other random stickers now to further commemorate my adventures. Would look very cool!
