Lets talk Graphite Blue Metallic GT3
Hey all,
Last few days we've seen quite a few GBM GT3 pictures on this board, as the time has finally arrived for me to decide on the spec and color. From the pictures GBM looks great on the car, I am very interested in ordering it and change it up from my regular whites, so I made a trip to the dealer to see the color in person in a boxter. To my surprise, it is a lot more "stale blue" than what I expect and doesn't look very good on the boxter, so I have no idea how it will look on a GT3 in real life. Can anyone who have seen the color on another model and also the GT3 (or owners) share some thoughts? Have you seen the color before you order yours and thought that it looked boring but find it working a lot better on the GT3?
I have attached a picture of the boxter here.

Yes, I've seen the pics on that thread, its just hard to imagine how one color can look so weird on one car (the boxter), but look so good on another....

I also think GBM only looks good on the more aggressive looking models like Turbos and GT3's. See if you can find a GTS or Turbo in GBM with black wheels / trim.

Definitely a color that’s hard to photograph well. Changes tremendously as the light changes. And definitely looks better on the GT3.
Hell, White looks better on a GT3.

I like GBM a lot more than I thought I would. I have not seen the color in real life. My current rankings of favorite non PTS colors for the GT3 are:
1. GT silver
2. GBM<>Agate
3. White
1. GT silver
2. GBM<>Agate
3. White

In sunlight will be more grey and in shade blue.
It changes a lot. I like the color very much but it is a color that does not pop like GR/RY/and White to an extent.. Conservative color

It is currently the color I have on my boxster loaner with a black roof and I think it looks like sh**t. It is very muted.
It may be car dependent, but I think GT cars look like best in white, black, silver and louder colors. This GBM is just there. They had it on a cayman and it also looked terrible.
But Chalk looks good on GT3, but terrible on the Panamera.
But, if you like it, who cares.
