2015 GT3 vs 2015 Turbo S future resale value.
I'm Considering the purchase of a certified 2015 Turbo s or a GT3 at a similar price. Over the next two years which model do you think will depreciate less? I know traditionally the GT3 has better retained its value but with the availability of the 991.2 GT3 do you still think this will be the case?
Thanks
Thanks

If you have a 991.1 GT3 that has survived a decade without an engine issue, then it's probably not going to suffer one (at least not one covered by this warranty).

They should be fairly close, but the future is never guaranteed. With cars in this price range, if you can’t take an extra +/- $10K hit you should rethink the purchase.
Get into an accident with either one, kiss $10K away just for a CarFax ding.

But to answer the OPs question, it really depends on the deal you’re getting on both cars. If your being offered a 2015 GT3 at MSRP vs 10K under vs a 2015 turbo S at 40 vs 25% off, it makes a difference.
Otherwise it may be close, so just buy the car that speaks to you for your intended use.

Look how cheap you can buy a 2014 991.1 turbo nowadays.
GT3 always do well come future resale.
But for long, long term, I am questioning the 991.1 GT3 out of warranty. If anything goes on the motor, it will not be cheap and that is if anybody is willing to touch it.
When a 997 Mezger goes, you can pull it, build it back up though multiple shops.Still not cheap. But being done.

don't choose which one because of possible resale. Drive them both, see which you like better. They are vastly different in the way they drive. Turbo is quiet, fast, comfy.. does anything and everything without fuss. Has back seats. Its a perfect daily driver. The GT3 is rougher, louder from engine as well as from mechanical noises besides the motor. Complete 180 from each other, so drive both before deciding. cant go wrong with either!

Had both cars. Agree totally different personalities. Traded in a 2015 991.1 GT3 with 9.5K miles, tracked 20 X for CPO 2015 turboS with 7.7K miles. Had the turbo S for 12 months with 2K miles additional. Traded that in last month close to what I bought it for for a new build 2018 GTS inbound Jan 2018. For me I think it suits me. Sales tax offset 600 dollars. Still have a GT4 for track days.:-)
Drive both cars to see what you like.

Totally agree with CJ's point and historically GT3's hold better.
I also think new gen tires help the turbo s. My 15TTS is so much better on new Michelin pilots vs OEM Pzero. Also, they are very different cars and if your not going to the track the TTS does everything really well.
Just add a sharky's pipe and go!!!

Yes to be fair if you put PSC2 and good alignment you will be faster on track in a TurboS than a GT3. A mountain of torque, AWD/ Torque Vectoring to help exits on slow corners, and more HP on top...
Factory tire choices are the biggest limiting factor in lap times

Might be faster, but which car would you 1-have more fun in, and 2- require you to actually drive the car, not just slam the throttle/brake, while the AWD/turbo torque covers up all your mistakes.

But... it's a fast that, for me, completely lacks emotion or excitement. Feels like a big, heavy truck under braking and cornering, then a Saturn rocket on straights.
And yes my butt still hurts after trading my '17 TTS Cab on an '18 GT3 Touring allocation build.
