Would you consider? Basic build + 20 K ADM

GT3 at msrp is not impossible but.... there is effort & luck involved.
And perseverance.
I bought my GT4 at msrp... this new GT3 at msrp. I was never a VIP, not even now, and I never ordered specialty edition Porsches before neither. I did daily drive a Macan before which I bought new and traded it back last year. I also bought a 991.2 Carrera but even if I didn't, it wouldn't have negated my GT3 allocation earlier this year.
I know it's not easy to land a GT car at sticker especially now but honestly I did my time... I wanted a 991.1 GT3 at sticker but absolutely no luck whether local or out of state. So instead I recommend to buy a non-GT car first to show you're a committed local costumer and make some referrals to the same SA or dealer... and then in a matter of time (at least a year for me) you'll be able to land a GT car allocation. It's back 'n forth... build a relationship. I was told I'll get a future GT3RS allocation at sticker as well... it'll pay off but patience is required.

Hey guys,
Wanted to get some of your opinions...one of the local dealers in California called me up yesterday and offered me this car that will arrive in about 2-3 weeks of time.
This will be a basic build White , Lift , Full bucket, manual option,LED MSRP of 157 K + 20 K ADM. Not my first color of choice (Chalk/blue) but not sure if I can get too picky. Curious to get your thoughts, for those without a slot, would you consider this?
Thanks,
JM

The build has the 4 most important options - manual (vital for some), buckets, lift, LED

Thanks for the quick replies, no trade for me. It will be straight up purchase. Dealer seemed quite firm on ADM (especially being a California car), will see if I can get lucky. Pros for this car would be early availability (can start enjoying instead of a wait/unknown factor), cons being the options.

More than half of GT3s will be sold without markup. By buying one that is you’re encouraging those dealers with the worst practices- those that will turn away their best customers to make a quick buck.
I will never buy another car with ADM, and I will do my best to avoid those dealers that charge them for service or other needs. I’ve made that mistake before, and in hindsight I regret it. In short, no.

Pete,
Your words are definitely encouraging. However I assume those without the markup have been on the waiting list for quite some time, or have special relationship with the dealer. I don't, just some random guy who really want to get my hands on the car. I have called at least 15-20 dealers since earlier this year, majority of them laugh and tell me good luck. Sucks to live in California, nice weather but demand for cars is quite ridiculous.
I am 90 % sure I will go for it, 10 % being the wife factor. Likely will make counter offer on the ADM and see how that goes. Appreciate all the advice.
