My friend who bought a 2016 GT3RS from a dealer at the end of the model cycle at MSRP just got a call from the GSM. They were asking him if he knew of any dealer that would sell them a 991.2 GT2RS allocation at $125K over. So my friend called his local dealer and asked that question. They told him that they have had customers coming in offering $125K over and they declined.
On a second note, I posted on another thread here that I saw with my own eyes yesterday a purchase contact of a 991.2 GT3 PDK with an MSRP of $180K+ that sold for $45K over. I thought these people were crazy, until he told me their 2015 991 GT3 with 15000 miles just sold for $4000 off MSRP! If you use that as a gauge, I guess why shouldn't the brand new and improved 991.2 GT3 be selling at over MSRP? Crazy!
For those interested, Porsche of Tysons has an incoming GT Silver available (in next week or so). Customer backed out. MSRP is $173, they are looking for $25k over. 18 ways, steel, pdk, leather, black LEDs, black wheels.
build sheet and pic for anyone interested. they are trying to get $30k over. Had offer for $20k but passed. so clearly my msrp offer didn't work. i would think the 18 ways and steel (both of which I want) would narrow the audience for those willing to pay adm.
fwiw, i didn't like the black door handles, nor the painted side skirts.
