My local dealer and I who I've purchased two previous cars from were going back and forth for a couple of weeks a few months ago...... We probably spoke on the phone and email about 10 times during this period. He claimed they had one allocation left and were firm at 25k over. (for me of course since I was a loyal customer
, normally they were asking 30)
I offered 15k over several times and I assured him that when my wife's lease was up in March I'd get another car from him (which I would have)... He called me when I was out of town and said that they would do 20.. I agreed, and told him I'd come in the following Monday to do the paperwork and he said they "should" still be able to do it then
Monday morning I call him and he literally says that they now need 40k over, there's simply too much demand.
I politely told him where to stick his 40k. Then he starts trying to justify it, by claiming that "I'd do the same thing if I was in their shoes, and that these are the ONLY times they make money, etc.
I'm an electronics distributor myself and I get my hands on limited items that always sell out quickly. I could easily mark them up but I simply do not believe in the practice.
The whole thing has left such a bad taste in my mouth, I haven't even started searching again.
Best part... He has the ***** to call me again last week saying it's still available for 40k over!

Byers porsche in Columbus had an available unadvertised black 2018 PDK, PCCB, LWB, FAL, tarted up interior car. Asking is $183+ 30k ADM. saw it last Thursday in person.
should still be available. Call to ask

ADM no ADM, that black car is sick looking. That's the kinda build that'll cause a walk in customer to make an emotional decision to pay over.

Bought 14 cars from the Tysons store .... most from the previous owner. FOLKS, pay attention,,, Penske seriously pissed PAG off when shoving the Benz and P car stores together in the same space, all to grow AUDI across the street and NOW they do not get cars as a punishment, This produced a greedy business approach...gag every customer. Last six and my '18 build GT3 went elsewhere... and not in
the DC area. But 26 k over in not bad given the initial pricing foolishness.... but it is going away as you read this... hang tight.

Like everyone said, patience is key. Plenty of other cars to buy.
