First Impression..
I did a European Delivery in mid May in Leipzig (GT Silver, Manual). By the time I dropped off the car I put on 3200 km: around 2000 km on country roads, 1100 km on Autobahns, 100 km on the Nordschleife. I had not gone over 7000 rpm but it already felt fantastic... different from my trade-in GT3 991.1 with PDK.
You can feel the new and improved aerodynamic at around 240-250 km/hr. It feels like the car is more connected to the road, less nervous and doesn't need much of steering correction on the straight. I didn't go over 265 km/hr but I could tell that it wouldn't feel much different at higher speed. Power shifting is fast, not as fast as the PDK but it feels very smooth especially at high speed. Driving in cities, shifting the conventional way works great. It needs a few days to work-in the clutch pedal. The downshifts in sport mode (auto-blip) feel and sound great on the Autobahn. On the Nordschleife, I prefer the heel-toe shifting. I drove a 991.2 GT3 with PDK last year for 2 days on the Nordschleife and that was really fast (set my personal best), but that car was also equipped with the Clubsport Package which makes a big difference. Being able to manually selecting the gears, especially when driving on the Nordschleife, compensates for the slower shift time. I don't think I will invest in an aftermarket cage. I like the space behind the seats for some extra travel bags. I like a few other things about the gen.2 over the gen.1. Most noticeable... no smoke at cold-start! The carbon fibre bucket seats are most comfortable for me, even after a 7 hrs' drive form Dresden to Amsterdam. My wife always compares the bucket seats to the 18-ways I used to have in my 2013 C2S. You can guess which one she prefers? However after driving for 15 minutes she fell asleep most of the times. I have a nice neck travel pillow that worked very well for her and it even matched the interior color (Alcantara, yellow seat belts).
I ordered as an option the lift kid and I'm glad I did. Some roads in Holland had speed bumps that looked like a dike. Never mind scratching the front-lip, it would be gone. The front-lift is also much faster than the one in the gen.1 GT3.
There is one thing about my new car I dislike very much. It is the roof mounted satellite antenna and I wish there was a delete option... but it is what it is and I have to get used to it.
Interesting to hear about the the forum member from Australia complaining about the lack of power and the gearing, I cannot disagree more. Perhaps Episode 100 of Head2Head on Motor Trend Channel can be helpful if you have doubts about the GT3.2 (PDK or manual transmission).
Now I'm waiting patiently for the arrival of my car. Hopefully, it will be here by the end of July.

Congrats - I did euro delivery with my .2 GT Silver GT3 a month before you and it was the time of my life. Enjoy in good health and now the real hard part begins, waiting after you've had a taste of the car!
Also re: the Australian RLer, I think perspective is important as I think he was coming from a 911 Turbo? In any case, one of my first impressions when I drove my GT3 was that it felt slightly underpowered Of course that is in part because when you drive the GT3 for the first time, you aren't taking her to 6-7-8k RPM with 3 miles on the odometer (at least I wasn't), so you don't get access to that meat/part of the power band. Had to readjust as I had gotten used to the 3.0L turbo engine in the 991.2 C4 which is very impressive with huge boost/torque at low RPM for some fun on the street. Harder to feel power in the GT3 at low RPM but the tradeoff is the scream to 9k

First time seeing my GT3 after a couple months, today was a good day! Parked the C4 next to her and took these at Glistening Perfection as the car awaits the full monty from Moe

Thanks Jack - unfortunately didn't get a chance to drive her since she got delivered to my detailer and she'll be there for a little while getting PPF etc. Just wanted to swing by to make sure she arrived safe and sound from Zuffenhausen, missed this beauty!! I'll get back to you in a month's time or so after detailer done and small interior mods I have planned then she'll be ready for the road
