Based on the data in the other thread, it appears to be 5-7 lbs difference between the base and Bose. Immaterial.

Always cracks me up to here people complain about a few pounds of weight when a) they're 10-30 lbs overweight themselves and b) they often drive around with someone else in the car with them. Total nonsense. I could put 50 lbs of lead on the floor behind the seats and the average Porsche owner wouldn't know the difference.

Yeah I just saw that. I agree 5-7 lbs is inconsequential.

Yes, I'm planning to break the Touring Spec cars into their own sort of data. Clearly there won't be as many of them to track...

Exactly. I tend to drive my cars to and from track. So having air con and a good sound system matters to me.

That said, losing weight is great for your heart health and your track times too! (Take it from me I'm a cardiac surgeon)

Yup, I dropped over 30lbs and my lap time went down by more than 1 sec.

I am trying to understand why Chalk is so popular. It's a color I had personally never looked at, much less considered to spec my car in. Yet it is there, on #1. Any Chalk owners here who could elaborate their thought process?

Could be totally off here but for me I considered it as it looked like a "heritage" color from older Porsche 911s, and it is a unique paint color without being in the "skittles" category (yellow/red/green/blue)

Fashion grey is PTS and also pretty popular, so having this color which is similar at a much lower cost ($4k vs. $12k for PTS) with no PTS exclusions (feasibility + if your allocation was PTS eligible) is maybe why it is very popular among current owners
