OP: Thanks for the detail. This is fantastic information. You guys likely work at a dealersship to have this data access where you are located.

I'm only surprised by a couple things:

1. Bose at 87% and FAL at 84%? I suspect that the majority of the guys getting the "track" variant of the GT3 are not tracking their cars. Museum or trophy cars?

2. PCCB at 51% seems higher than I would have thought?

1. FAL only weighs 7kg so its kind of a no brainer to add it just in case of that 1 emergency when you actually need to lift. And Bose should just be standard IMO, who makes a 150+k car that doesn't come with a halfway decent sound system? Whether people use it or not is a diff story. I rarely listen to music but added the bose out of principal.

2. I agree, 51% seems high to me also

Thanks for providing data. Seems like Touring is the way to go if you want to be a bit more exclusive...

I've heard a number of track rats say that the FAL is very helpful loading and unloading from their trailers, so I don't think you can draw any conclusions there. And honestly, the difference in weight between Bose and the base system isn't much more than the typical guy's morning bowel movement. Unless one is built like a distance runner themselves (and are a good enough driver to really notice), worrying about a couple of pounds here or there is stupid.

You're misinterpreting the data. Tourings only just started to get delivered. The current data is skewed because the winged versions were released first.

Porsche is bragging about the 11 lbs of weight savings in the 911T (lightweight glass and removal of sound deadening). The bose system adds more weight than that. (IIRC about 20 lbs). That's a big bowel movement. The weight is not inconsequential.

Got it on the FAL. Still I think most folks are getting the GT3 as a daily driving trophy car or museum piece (not necessarily on rennlist since this is an enthusiast forum and the opinions are skewed)

Nope...neither of us. But we do have a very good line on where the data comes from. Loess has done the majority of the work (aka...cracked the code) whereas I take the time to stat the data.

It's fun...

The builds don't lie...most even I, have spec'd PCCBs. Could it be color or for actual track use?

If given the choice, I would never again track with anything but PCCBs.

The problem for me was LWB, front lift, PTS & PCCB took build over $190k.. I skipped pccb.. maybe that was a mistake

All personal, but given your slate of choices, I would've skipped PTS. But then I've never been a jelly-bean color person anyway.

I plan on tracking my car and I got Bose and FAL. I don't see what tracking has anything to do with getting those options. Bose for those that want to listen to music on the long drive to the track or on the way home. It only adds 5-7lbs, not 20. FAL for ease of getting on and off of the trailer.
