Sales policy continues to be unclear, with Porsche it is not clear how many cars will be produced, just to create an expectation according to their sales philosophy:
WANT A CAR?
OK, BUT WE DO NOT KNOW IF WE WILL PRODUCE AND YOU HAVE TO GET IT!

I know! There is another thread that specifically asks if anyone is actually paying the ADM. To my knowledge, no one has definitively admitted to on that thread. Some ADMs were $250K!

Most people aren't happy to pay ADM and would rather not talk about about it, so I think the responses to that thread aren't gonna be an unbiased estimator.

I'm in the camp that they can sell 2k units without breaking a sweat, with ADM attached to many of those. The level of epicness of the car is that high.

It's harder buying a 991.2 TTS Exclusive Edition than it is a 991 GT2 RS.

The only thing limiting production on the gt2rs is the ridiculous ADM. 100%. Bring the adm down to $35k or less they would sell and make 10k cars. Porsche is not putting a production cap on it the dealers are.

Don't think they could sell 10k without many sitting around for a while. I think 4-5k would be no sweat though.

Exactly! At what point does Porsche realize that they're being limited in sales by the dealers and that's costing Porsche money. Whether they sell 2,000 or 5,000 cars, the sale to the dealerships from Porsche is the same per car (not accounting for the differing options on how the car is spec'd. So obviously Porsche would rather sell more than less. At MSRP, Porsche could probably sell 4,000 of these world wide. But at the giant ADM being added (In markets such as the US, where it is allowed or legal), we Porsche may only receive 1,500-2,000 orders (doubtful at prices of up to 1-200K+ ADM). That would mean dealers greed costing Porsche and the mothership large sums of money. So the question is at what point does Porsche come down HARD on the dealers and put an end to ADM? Also, if they expect 3,000 orders but only get 1,200, Porsche would think that the car was a sales failure and may be gun shy about producing such cars in the future. Even though the truth would be if sold at MSRP, then they'd have sold all of or even exceeded the projected unit sales numbers.

There's a 1911 number floating out there. That would mean 550-600 in the US. Has anyone heard that?

Agree. Porsche is shooting themselves in the foot.

Based on the latest number from AP, 2000 cars worldwide, which means US market will get around 600 cars. From this, I think a reasonable and a long term value on the GT2RS will be 100k over sticker. So if your dealer is charging 80-100k adm, I would say that’s a fair number.

Did AP go public with this info, or is it inside info?

I think it's more than 2000 cars.

From post 3911 on this thread : https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...gt2rs-261.html

".....just saw live AP confirming 1000 for EU and 1000 for ROW and NA. ....check the live stream from "Porsche Museum“ on Facebook. was around 2:15"

It's not clear from this quote whether AP is saying 1000 for EU, 1000 for ROW and 1000 for NA. Or, 1000 for EU and 1000 cars to be split between ROW and NA.

To me, he's saying the former. In other words 3000 cars total. I'm not convinced that EU sells as many of these cars as NA + ROW put together

interviewer: from which amount of units we do speak?

AP: the vehicle is not limited. we made our experiences... that limited numbers to not reach the demand. but we are limited in production. and we are further limited with homologation/registration in some markets based on the small-scale series "Kleinserie".
We try to satisfy demand.
We can built 1.000 units for EU - and maybe also the same amount for ROW and USA. But more it can´t/will not become - unfortunately.

This clearly means 2.000units in total.
Maybe around 600 for USA is also my guess as also Mike wrote above.
