Default GT3RS advice

I am considering trading in my 991.1 GT3 and upgrading to a 991 GT3RS. I do not track my cars so its just a weekend car.
(I have given up trying to find an allocation for the new 991.2 GT3s)

- is it a good time (Price wise) to buy a GT3RS now or wait?
- outside of the track, how do you current GT3RS owners compare it to the driving a GT3?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I have had both. When my allocation for an RS arrived, I traded in my GT3. I found the GT3.1 with 4 ways to be a perfect weekend and drive around town car. It was even more comfy then my 991 4S that I also had at the time. The RS with LWBs is not pleasant drive around town, as such I now only use it for track days. That is why I have ordered a GT3.2 with manual and 4 ways... it will be my fun around town and weekend car. The RS will stay for track days only. Others will think differently, but I find the LWBs awful for daily living, and my wife hates them. Plus, after getting used to tracking my RS, it is rather boring around town when you can’t ring out that motor. No wrong answer. The RS gets much more attention however if you are ok with that. Good luck!

Another “should I buy now or wait?†thread.....shocking

This has been beaten to death already. How is anyone suppose to accurately forecast prices and value?

Didn't your last trade in attempt (for a 991.2 GT3 @ MSRP) result in a rejected value because it was too low in your mind, the equivalent of paying ADM? What makes you think it'll be any different now?

My opinion....dealers are more aggressive with a trade number for an RS vs a .2GT3 as they want to move them along.....I would bet good money he’ll get more for his trade on an RS as mentally it makes the buyer think they’re getting a great deal. It’s all just a numbers game

Yes it did, but the current trade I am considering is actually decent for a GT3RS. Nothing like the previous trade numbers.

On this same notion, while the RS prices are coming down; there is plenty of threads and data points suggesting that the 991.1 prices are trending down also. So you might get a better price on the RS - sure, but I would expect a lower trade number on the 991.1 non-RS trade also.

Matter of fact, everyone needs to decide what car they want - find one, buy it, drive it IMO.
