Default Waylens Horizon

Has anyone tried one of these for track use? It looks like a fairly slick, user-friendly package... but it might just be a good website! www.waylens.com

I have only heard one person say they have one. I spent some time on their website, in their forums, and sent some questions in. What I found out: The camera can also act as a dashcam (with continuous overwrite), which is cool. Their software does not have much analysis functionality like Circuit Tools, but they say they are working on it. The window attachment had numerous complaints. The OBDII dongle can stay plugged in all the time without draining the battery (they claim that, anyway). The person answering my question did not know if it works with an external, precision GPS.

The tracks they have (as of July 2017) are:

Autobahn Country Club North
Blackhawk Farms Raceway
Charlotte Motor Speedway
Circuit of the Americas (Formula 1)
Guangdong International Circuit
Gateway Motorsports Park
Gingerman Raceway
Grattan Raceway (Clockwise)
Hallett Motor Racing Circuit (Counter Clockwise)
Harris Hill Road (Clockwise)
Shanghai International Office Garden(Internal test)
New Jersey Motorsports Park (Lightning)
Michigan International Speedway (Infield Road Course)
Mid Ohio (Sports Car Course including Chicane 3)
National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park (Grand Full Course)
Pacific Raceways
Palm Beach International Raceway
Pittsburgh International Race Complex (North Track)
Putnam Park Road Course
Road America
Road Atlanta
Zhuhai International Circuit

Bought one to try....installed easily. Pretty slick. But won't have a chance to test at track until September.

How did this work out? Tired of messing with my somewhat undependable GoPros and investigating options

In a couple of videos I saw from the waylens the data overlay was 1-2sec behind what was actually happening to the vehicle.

RE Waylens, Yikes!

I run track addict and harry's, I actually think the app side is great but I am unimpressed with the GoPros. They tend to stop recording on a whim once my session has already begun.

The most impressive thing about Waylens is that the 1080p camera quality is far, far ahead of what anyone else has.
It's likely a higher bitrate thing but I'm always so impressed with the videos I see on youtube.
