Default Sold my 991 RS

Had it for 7 months. Was a great car but decided to dump it before winter storage. Traded into dealer and left as a deposit on a gt2rs and or a 991.2 gt3rs. Im leaning gt3rs due to it being naturally aspirated (noise, rawness) plus the dealer is looking for 200k over on a 2rs. Lol yes 200k meaning pay for two and get only one Which i think is ridiculous since its not a limited production numbered vehicle. Either way am thinking of pts on the .2 3rs if it’s actually made. Wanted also a bunch of ccx options. (Like gt2rs fender vent inserts in carbon). Custom factory graphics custom seat ideas looking for opinions pictures ideas etc if anyone willing to help. My top two colors right now are mexico blue ( my actual favorite but not wanting since so many manufacturers paint similar color) and or rubystone red ( wife pushing me on this). Not looking for any color that is on the quiet side. Working on interior ideas looking through forum nothing jumping out at me yet. Thanks in advance

all my money back plus sales tax credit. Less my “porsche rs initiation fee”. So down 10k+- Yes it was my first porsche ever. All the money sitting at dealership as a deposit on a future purchase. Was guaranteed a 991.2 3rs at msrp if it shows.

It shows that the RS is holding it's value. Plus, you've left all that money at the dealership for "some" future purchase. You've lost more than $10K. You have money to burn, my friend. Congrats on your next great car.

Having your dealer 'hold' over $200k of your money with the hopes they will have a GT3RS in the reasonable future, and then sell it to you at MSRP - not a play I would make

+1 - Terrible idea, get the money and just eat the sales tax IF they get you the car.

Thanks for the opinions. currently in no rush to eat 20k of sales tax. If they back out of the deal if a .2 3rs does show ill eat it at that time. Im fine with the money sitting there. And to previous post i know in reality I probably lost 20k not 10k but im fine with it. I am well aware of experiences people have with porsche dealerships and all being greedy sob’s Only other car i have been looking for is a LFA Nürburgring edition. If i could find one at a reasonable price i would take the sales tax hit asap on this trade in. Only know of a single one not advertised but asking is 1 million.

thanks for the link will read thread

Default Do the math

Do the math , I am amused by the way so many people do the math for a guy that has $200,000 to sit with the dealership as if he couldn’t do the math himself.

+1

just look at the Porsche Main Line thread
my dealer asked for $1k deposit for the .2RS (same as my GT3 and RR Velar) and that’s all they will ever get to hold a possible allocation from me
