Default 3 Questions before my GT3 delivery next week?

Good news is that my shipping vessel (Adriatic Highway) should be docking Houston tomorrow. Expecting the car delivered to me next week. I have three questions.

1) Opinions and feedback on the Xpel stealth film on the whole car (Black body + matte black wheels / red lips)?

2) Should I get the exterior prepped from a professional detailing shop vs the dealer? I am thinking of asking the dealer to not even take off the protective plastic film.

3) Is it a good idea to buy the extended warranty? I never bought one on my base 911, eleven years ago. Never had any issues.

Anything else I should consider?

Xpel ultimate is more durable. Tell dealer to only remove protective film to check for any damage. Then have a high skilled detailer inspect paint and correct if needed. Remember you are sealing your paint with the clear bra, so you want a perfect finish to seal. I believe xpel HQ are located in Texas, would try to have them do the install. I’m wrapping my entire car.

1)- JMB my leading choice and will also do Xpel stealth on whole car. Will leave roof, side mirrors, door handles ect uncovered to break it up.

2) Yes- have dealer take off all the film on delivery for you to inspect

3) Depends- if you can get a deal at closing for an additional (3) years may be worth considering. I usually wait and decide later, if i am going to keep it that long. i tend to get bored every couple years

1. Personal choice.

2. Don't let the dealer touch the paint on the car.

3. Personal choice, I think they're a waste of money.

My opinion only if you’re going to keep the car get some protection. However, if like most less than two years total waste because most of these cars are well cared for so trading in short period zero return. I’ve seen so many resales with less than 4000 miles and the car is flawless. My Spyder had full front wrap two car covers and two sets of mats, and I was the receiver of a perfect car.

Question for guys who have done Xpel etc before. Would you put over any stickers (side lettering etc) and therefore protect it etc, or put the lettering on top of the Xpel thereby being easier to remove letter latter if you don't want it...

Thoughts ?

Unless you LOVE your livery/decals, put the decals on top of the XPEL. The other benefit is you can use matte vinyl / wrap and still get the correct look.

I put my decals/livery on top of the XPEL.

Yep, or you get little gaps where stickers are. Think of pff as skin, nothing fits comfortably underneath it

Wrapping is for those that are **** about their car. It is a total waste of money. Drive the car and enjoy it. Freaking out over paint nics and blemishes detracts from the driving experience.
