My 911TT has voice control and has a button on the end of the indicator stalk that you can press to get voice control active.

My GT4 does not have voice control and it has a blank that looks like a button in the same spot but it doesn't articulate...can't press it and feel it move like the one in the 911.

According to the .2 GT3 owners manual, short press on the button for built-in voice control, long press on the button to activate Siri instead.

No voice control, no button...you'll get the blank instead.

Not true, the new PCM has CarPlay. You will get the button even if you don't order the voice control. This is how my wife's Macan S `17 is setup. A short press does nothing. The longer press activates siri.

Fair enough. I should have said perhaps that I was just repeating what I'd been told...probably came across as a stronger statement than I can really write the check for...

My wife has a 2015 Macan with it, the pre-airplay PCM; I have it on my 991.1 Carrera S, I keep forgetting its there tbh. But I'd image with Siri etc it'd be pretty cool.

Where did you find the 991.2 GT3 owners manual? I have been looking online and have not found it yet. I was hoping to read through before mine arrives.

It is listed on the latest build sheet, so it looks like I will get it.
I ordered 4/5/2017.
It was there, then it wasn't, now it is.
I'll find out for sure 11/17 when it's delivered!
